It’s so much fun creating GPTs! I have created a GPT that can generate consistent characters by simply calling the character’s name and input the scenario (chatting with the character and she will share her photo) And also I made a GPT for translating lengthy article without pasting the paragraphs repeatedly, one time will do, and just ask it to continue. And I made a GPT to translate Japanese words into a full sentence in Keigo(respected form of Japanese) as well. There’s a lot more I want to make and play with, it opens a new world for me and I don’t need to code!

Is there any way to make the GPTs remember the conversations and improve themselves becoming better and better at what they do? Potentially GPTs can replace full professions if they self improve, and if deployed in a company, the GPTs could collaborate to reach a common goal.

I’m optimistic for the long run, but most of these so far are just toys and can be replaced by one simple prompt. Upload a pic and just say “Simpsonize” and any GPT will do it.

Agreed. There’s just not enough there to make anything more than a toy or simple utility. The power is still locked behind the API for now - probably for a while. There’s a lot of logistical hurdles dealing with vector stores, document chunking, structured output, etc, that need to simplified before the layman finds it intuitive to work with. And that’s not where the money is for these companies.

I wanted to offer some feedback which you might find interesting. Initially, your video thumbnail caught my eye, so I added it to watch it later. However, when I searched for "create a GPT," your video didn't appear, leading me to believe you hadn't covered creating custom GPTs yet. I made a custom GPT for creating custom items, mobs, dungeons, and more using the Mythic plugins for Minecraft. I also designed another gpt for all around server creation/any modpack & plugins/ and can automatically set up ranks and permissions for you. I am a minecraft tutorial youtuber so making this gpt will be very useful for my self and I hope others! I also gave it tons of my own info I have discovered on common server issues given everyone's pc is different. So not only does it help you make servers but it can troubleshoot most issues accurately as well :)

I don't understand the applicability of GPTs different from the traditional ChatGPT4 except for giving proprietary data to pull against. For nearly every one of these GPTs, you can get a very similar result the traditional way. What am I missing?

The new ‘GPTs’ seem to be mostly geared towards consumers that can’t be bothered to learn how to write prompts. The Assistants API is a lot more powerful than the GPTs, but one might as well use LangChain at that point.

I think I've found a bug 😅 if you trigger the data analysis, the following web requests that it may need from bing are instead routed in the analysis plugin that calls a function called search or something, that always fails

This is pretty wild and I am loving playing with it. I tried the logo maker you suggested above and it's pretty cool. For my own experimentation, I have been trying to make a GPT where I share the url of my favourite grocery store and have it read the website, then present me with a 7 day meal plan with strong consideration for items that are on sale. I'm bumping up with a technical limitation where it doesn't really know how to read the information because it keeps looking at the flyer and can't get text from the images. I tried to point it at the website in general rather than the flyer and it's still having difficulty. Can anyone help me get this thing to work?

when someone makes a GPT, for example the one in the video about finding GPTs, Is there a way for that GPT to automatically update? or are these people going in and updating the GPT themselves? I would imagine that would be an insane amount of work, updating every new GPT that is being made everyday. How are they feeding their GPT 17k plus GPTs? How do they streamline this work?
