You are cutting it extremely close, yes its fine but your psu is most likely running at maximum performance as its the MINIMUM it will run on

I tried several PSU calculator tools and 500W seems perfectly acceptable for that build, which is expected to run at about 350W max load, which is well within a safe range for the PSU. Unless they're overclocking a lot or a heap of drives I don't see the issue.

I have been using a 5700xt with a 500 watt evga psu and never had a problem but I would recommend buying a watt meter for your outlet to see how much you system is actually pulling.btw I have a i5-10400 so it relatively low wattage.

As for the 4790k and 5700 it was like to tie me over untie I had the cash for a complete build. Worked great though and the 3700x I got later didnt even make that much difference cuz most games were limited by the gpu in both builds.

Bro I think he made a mistake, I have the same specs bought a rx6600xt and if I use the bottleneck calculator it shows me around 30-35% bottleneck and even if it were wrong calculations I still get stutters in games like cyberpunk ghost of tsushima or any cpu intensive games

I actually love my 2060. It still runs mordern AAA titles at stable 60+ fps and regardless of what ppl tell you, it is pretty capable when it comes to RTX too, if you don't mind playing with 30-40 fps, which I don't for certain games like RPGs.

All the GPUs you mentioned will be bottlenecked in some games, I own a r5 2400g, and in games like csgo and valorant I have a bottleneck even with an rx5500xt, now sure in more gpu demanding games that will not be that big of a bottleneck but in my opinion he can get something like a rx 5600xt used for around 150$ and upgrade the power supply and the CPU with the left money(if he sells his CPU for sure)

You just need to do some math on components and make sure you’re within less 80% of max capacity. Idk what this guy is talking about. Most of all ryzen cpus are 65w and motherboard plus ram is ~90w so you get about 250watt of room for 500watt. Google search power supply calculator and it’ll do it for you with your parts.

As a fellow laptop user, I can only ask you: Does your case have enough airflow? Is the thermal paste somewhat recent or good quality? Is there any configuration in your system that might stress that much your GPU? Drivers? Unwanted overclock settings? Any demanding program? Because as far as I know, no GPU should be reaching those temps under a normal use.

there is something wrong with your GPU. I have 6650XT MSI Mecha model, even with 100% usage it never goes beyond 80oC with 50% fan speed. You should check if the thermal paste is dry (even for new GPU) or heatsink has enough contact with the die. If you still have warranty, you could send it back for check up.

​@@andreslinn69it's definitely a problem. In my case, my gpu also have the same problem and my pc suddenly shutting down by itself because it's too hot when playing game. Then I checked my gpu turned out the thermal pad got loose and I just put it back and tighten the screw also changed the thermal paste, and it's back to normal and even cooler than before.

holy shit, i did not expect to hear about the 3200g in 2023. This is my first APU for my budget setup and had a similar configuration. 16gb 3200mz and a 450W PSU and ONLY used the APU for about 2 years. i was fortunate enough to be given old parts from friends such as a Cryto Mined GTX1070 and 32gb Ram kit but i did have to upgrade my PSU to 650 to compensate that GPU. My 3200g is still going strong but i've been looking for an 8core CPU next

@@abdallahhafizsheen7259 You should get a better CPU because at least you can turn down settings to get more fps. When you are CPU bottlenecked you get stutter and little wiggle room to increase performance in most games(especially in an age of increasing CPU demand and bad PC ports). When you're gpu bottlenecked you get a lower frame rate that can be increased with more optimized settings and lower resolutions. It's much better to plan to upgrade your GPU down the road than your CPU imo (if you have the luxury of making that decision of course)

My current build is a 550w PSU, RTX 2060, and R5 5600G simply because I found a dirt cheap G that was like 50 bucks less than the cheapest regular 5600 I could find. Heyy 6700 XT is a gpu id recommend. Im sure theirs other options like a 3060 ti and 3070 maybe even better?? but Radeon is better than Nvidia. Nvidia's vram is very terrible especially for upcoming games nowadays. 6700 XT is a must and very amazing. You can look for gpu recommendations on google and see what will work and won't. What's within your budget range, will little to won't bottleneck, and lastly, a gpu that can handle games that have intense graphics for the best experience 🙂.

If you are looking for a Rx 6650 xt, then you should look for a Rx 6700 (Non XT), it has more tell and with a small adjustment of voltage you'll have no problem whatsoever while having a better gaming experience. Princes may vary place to place, so take a look for yourself

If you're building now then yeah, 600 or 650w psu is recommended. But if you already have a good 500w psu, just use it. If you having black screen or bluescreen or random reboot after you put upgrade your gpu, then it's time to upgrade the psu.

The PSU's run more efficient at the 50+% mark more than the 20%. I am running a 5700x with a 6700gpu and I am not seeing more than 200 total watts during gaming, which shows more headroom than what a 500watt offers. At those specs he is over what watts he needs. I would have recommended a 6600 from amd, a 3060 from Nvidia, or Arc 750 from intel. (I did skip over the Nvidia 3050 as it is not worth it, skip that flaming pile of garbage as there are better options for that money.) The issue with the 500 W PSU may be quality of part more than wattage as there are PSU's at will do a fantastic job of handling the 500W load while others would struggle with even 300 watts of that load. Some good brands of PSU include Super Flower, Seasonic, and Corsair. While not the holy grail of specs, I also look for Gold 80+ ratings over just white label 80+ but bronze 80+ is good as many do much better at that 50+% loads than their bronze rating shows.

I got away with using a Thermaltake Litepower 550W for over 5 years now. It have gone through an overclocked ryzen 3 1200 (i managed to get to 4.2ghz) a Ryzen 5 3600 (currently using and is overclocked to 4.5ghz) a GTX1060(it died 1 week after purchase but was allowed a refund due to factory defect) an RX580 (it lasted almost 5 years overclocked. 3200g is too slow and have only 4 core without hyperthreading the max it can use is like a 3050,Rx6600 maybe or 1660super, and it gonna bottleneck in cpu depending games the cou is too weak at this point

all depends on the screen you wanna use. 1080p you could go old used. 1440p starts from 3060ti. PSU's are overrated you will get away with 500watt. my 5900x and 4090 ti are just over 500 watt in game
