I just don’t get why people are so negative interms of fine dining experience.Its not just about food.Its about the whole experience that you enjoy with all your senses.The quality of food served at such restaurants and the ingredients used are usually top notch.Well people who never worked as a chef or in Hospitality itself may find it very difficult to understand.But it is what it is,Its art on a plate created with passion and pure dedication.

serve some food and it would be appreciated. a dish doesn't need to be artistic. it needs to taste good and look like food. fine dining is a scam to anyone who doesn't have that kind of money. they serve bite size portions and call it a dish. it may be an experience, but a pointless one at that. I could eat at a diner and have a better experience.

Just because YOU don't think you're better than anyone while you eat expensive food... It's quite obvious that many many many people eat expensive food every single day just because they're rich. Not because they appreciate the food. Let's be real. This type of establishment is meant for rich people. Just because poor people wander in and spend all their money.... Well they're fools.
@joelin58876 жыл бұрын
"It's a matter of perspective and taste" with one precondition - money. But look, the poor complain about pretentiousness, but they are not going to be taken seriously or be undermined. What about Marco Pierre White? He had the gut to slap the Michelins and went down the ivory tower. To him, Michelins isn't about food, but about the story behind it that can be made up for better marketing. My mum cooks well too but since I am not famous no matter how much credit I give her, her food isn't going to sell. On the other hand, if Marco says this dish is inspired by my mum and starts telling the story of his childhood, pretending that the dish reflects this private story as if the fish bite you eat brings you to Marco's childhood, then the marketing comes and we have a wonderful pricy but sell-out fish bites. Business is business but they pretend to be Art. This is exactly what people condemn and have reservations for.
@gerarobinson1726 жыл бұрын
Restaurants like these are about the experience. The effort that the chefs put into the food. The care. The attention. The time. The patience. The creative thought behind curating food into art. So if you cant appreciate that then don’t go. But I would love to go to a Michelin star restaurant. I’m a chef. So I know the food won’t be full of crazy flavor. But the experience will be well worth it.
