I enjoy the process of waxing a car. It's the first thing I do when I buy a new (to me) car, as I get to know all the ins and outs, and any areas which might need attention. It is a form of therapy to wax on then buff off. Also if you have a sedentary job, it's a good 'work out' if you take your time and enjoy it ... perhaps with a little music. I always use Bilt Hamber - it's not expensive, a little goes a long way and the finish is superb.

@@iProvisionals Bilt Hamber are excellent and consistent products and not expensive, and British. I was introduced to them by Jon. I just find old fashioned waxing a therapy. I can put music on or chat to passing folk. And wax seems to add a warm depth that silicones/sealants can't. But - I also use Turtle wax spray Sealant, in-between waxes, because it gives a lovely slick waterproof feel and great shine.

Waxing a car is easy. Maschine Polishing it much harder. Esp if you wanna do it correct like these experts with the 4 pre-steps. What i do myself each year is: degrease, ironiser treatment (to prevent rust), during ironising you could clay bar using the ironiser as liquid, shampo wash, then some does a full IPA alcohol wipe of the car before polish (i would probably do this IPA AFTER polish & before seal protection / coating instead as it makes more sense to me) and then Maschine Polish full car (some people do this in several steps, but its recomended to do only 1 polish of entire car, as your removing thin layers of clear coat when polishing) then when its finally polished 4-6 hours later, perhaps the next day you use coating or in my case Angelwax Ti-22 seal protection that specifically works with a wax. It needs high temperatures to cure & harden, 20-25 degrees recomended i have a garage tent where car stays in to not expose to direct sunlight. If around 25 degrees, it will take just 1 day for coating to cure! If under 20 degrees it can take up to two weeks for curing! Then lastly apply your favorite carnauba paste wax: in my case the immaculate Bilt Hamber Finis Wax for a staggering mirror shine! When done car looks better than from factory! 👍

I believe you get more results & appreciation from a paste wax and would prefer this as my application when needed(paste wax). I like to soften it up prior to use with some heat. One definitely gets up close and personal when the wax is waiting to flash. I grew up in the same city where they produce collinite wax and still prefer it- I like the results it brings. However, I like seeing these videos and the items others use to keep up to with the times. The white Yaris definitely came out nice.. white paint is truly a challenge.

I agree and think you are spot on by suggesting wax's give a sheen and shine all their own. Modern "nano" coatings are durable, and that's about it. Wax's and polymer sealants are much more forgiving, and due to the simplicity of application? You simply don't mind applying them more frequently. Nano coatings have their place, but they do have their con's. Water Spot issues in particular and the prep time takes more time than most have available. If you want to try an inexpensive synthetic wax that lasts a good 6 months, easy to apply and take off try DuraGloss 105 with their 601 Bonding Agent. You do not have to use the bonding agent, but it does double the life of the wax. On Amazon (USA) runs about $12 a bottle. Best bang for the buck that I personally know of. Well worth a try. Enjoy your videos, and your unbiased opinion towards the products you use. Great Job Guru👍😎

I'd love to drive that Gazoo Yaris. I used Autoglym Ultra High Definiton hard wax on my 1999 Passat before the winter came last year, and I'm thoroughly impressed by the lasting protection. Even through the harsh Norwegian winter, and despite me driving three times as far this winter as I normally do, the wax coating is still beading the water off like I applied it yesterday. I still have enough wax for a few more full applications, so I'm going to use it all up before I consider going ceramic or carbon.

Would recommend the Vikan 525052 for the alloy barrels. Such a handy little brush.

Interesting narration. Great video. Great little car. I prefer an automatic over a manual myself these days. Especially given all vehicles will eventually be autos anyways. I find ceramics provide a better cost and repel water better. But waxes provide a warmer gleaming more pleasing to the eye finish. Whilst ceramics look super slick and make the paint look slick there is just something missing that a wax has.

i'm excited that everyone is experiencing the yaris including Singapore. I am enjoying seeing all my children run around. i'm glad that i invested in the yaris in 2015, to have it become something great and magical and amazing, it's a versatile chassis name that's been around since 1999 and is the longest running nameplate nonstop in the toyota lineup. and ill be excited to own one of these amazing machines from japan RHD in 25 years. save one for me will you?
