Did you know you can program the button on your trunk to open the car without your key, or even when you lock the key inside? It works like the keypad on Ford vehicles. You program a code in that you tap 1-5 times, pause, tap 1-5 times, etc to put in the code and unlock the car. Great for people who go to the beach and don't want to lose their keys. You can lock them in the car and unlock the car with the trunk button.

Hello Mike, regarding 2:19, "Vehicle Load Limit - How to Determine". Where it says "...Vehicle capacity weight of the vehicle is 800 lbs (363 kg)...", this is "Example 1", which is an example of how to do the calculation. The 2024 WRX Owner's Manual also uses the same example weight of 800lbs (363 kg). To be certain what the vehicle load limit is, as per the Owner's Manual, "... The load limit of your vehicle is shown on the vehicle placard attached to the driver’s side B-pillar. Locate the statement “The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed XXX kg or XXX lbs” on your vehicle’s placard...". Cheers.🙂

@@nicholasmatthews5989 SUPER good info there, thanks Nicholas! I obviously read through that section of the manual too quickly. The BRZ's capacity, per my door card, is actually less at 700lbs. What is the WRX's??
@nicholasmatthews5989Ай бұрын
@@KonkrRoads Thank you for your reply. You have done well with going through the owner's manual with there being 436 pages. Thanks for checking your placard, with it showing 700lbs (317.5kg) (thereby if there are 2 people, each 200lbs, then there is room for 300lbs of cargo). I do not know the capacity of the WRX. Before writing my previous comment, I had downloaded the BRZ manual, and then I thought I'll also download the WRX manual, and it was interesting to see that each manual used the same examples. Next time I see a Subaru dealer, I'll try and remember to check a WRX placard. Cheers.

When it comes to oil, if you want to get more life out of your engine then sooner is better. You can sit and argue the max you can go, but if you care more about longevity then do it every 3-4k miles. If you plan to trade it in or are not looking to keep it for 10 years or so then sure, push it to the max and then let that used car buyer deal with the issues later.
@KonkrRoadsАй бұрын
@@sokmunky4104 I agree -- 3k mile oil changes, especially on this engine, is what I would recommend. It's also what I do myself. Which oil do you use?
@sokmunky4104Ай бұрын
@@KonkrRoads I prefer to always use synthetic, but what a lot of people don't understand oil can keep it's lubrication properties well into the 10-15k mile range. It isn't the oil breaking down that is the real killer of an engine. It is all the material that oil picks up. Tiny fragments of metal get in the oil, seals, rtv, fuel, and other contaminates slowly end up in the oil. These tiny particles are similar to something like fine sand paper. So if you have oil with these particles floating around in it then it adds more wear to the engine. It is minor, but this small amount of abrasive material in the oil slowly adds more wear to moving parts. Sure you can do 10-15k mile oil changes, but that just means more abrasion over time.

@@d.b.s.6381 I see your logic, but I assure you it occurs. The beep is there to prevent driving away without the keys and then are left stranded once the car is turned off.
