Does UEL have any power gains or is it purely for sound?

@@justhesolutioninitially it was taken for granted that UEL boosted low end and EL was better for top end. However, on these new FA24s, it appears that UEL headers open up just as much (if not slightly more) on the top end and almost completely eliminate the torque dip, while EL headers do nothing for the dip and add nothing extra up top. So, in contrast to the first gen, it appears EL is mainly for sound of you prefer it and UEL has all the benefits while, in my opinion, sounding a lot better.

All I4 engines should come with UEL headers as a stock item just for the sound, makes them actually sound good compared to what you get with equal-length headers

How much louder then stock is this? It’s got such a nice grumble sound that doesn’t seem to much louder which would be perfect for what I’m looking for

It’s honestly not as loud as it may seem. The GoPro footage is a few inches away from the exhaust so it may seem like it’s screaming lol - The HKS L-spec exhaust seems to mask the “extremely loud” sound nicely. Though noticeable. Cruising speeds are very doable but the car opens up a bit when you get on it. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

Hey Dalton, great question - So you’ll need a De-fouler (link in bio) to insert before the sensor and it will not flash a CEL.

To bypass the codes and other troubles, you would insert a Defouler (link in description) to trick the ECU
