Awesome to see someone from Minnesota posting this about GR86 / BRZ. Thank you

I highly recommend the Castrol SRF over the Motul. I had the Motul and it is one of the best out there but the Castrol is even better with higher wet boiling point (I tried them both). As far is the hawks, I haven't tried the HP plus, I am familiar with the Hawks HP+ from reading the specs although I ran DTC-60 from Hawks. Good video by the way, thanks for sharing.

are those pads make noises?

How did the HP+ do with the stock tires? Did you feel like you needed a more aggressive pad? And did you swap back to the OEM pad afterwards on the same brake rotor? Any bedding issues?

No issues with the pads. The stock tires are very skinny so that is definitely the weak link. HP+ are definitely a more budget friendly “track” pad but they make a huge difference compared to OEM. We are not going back to stock.

Hi thanks for your video, it really helped me. One question is, do you only change as for front or front and rear? I am consider about ds2500 brake pad. But I don’t know how noise it will be, I don’t want it to be too noise since daily drive is 90%. What do you think, Thank you again.

SS line for front ? Or front and rear?

What was the part number for the Goodridge lines? Thanks

They are for the first gen’s. Brake components are all interchangeable between generations other than the slight difference on the knuckle for the new BRZ.

100% that the stock brakes suck. They will not survive an aggressive track day. The rest of the car is awesome.

What about the Motul high temp brake fluid?

We had ran out of time and didn’t get the fluid swapped out that night 🙃

@@FRS2K - any brake fade with the stock fluid?
@FRS2K Жыл бұрын
Brakes have been great other than being a little noisy with a more aggressive compound. Mainly autocross and daily driving but have done a few higher speed 100-20mph hard on the brakes and they’ve performed great so far.

Why sparks??
@FRS2K Жыл бұрын
It’s a pretty normal thing that happens when you bed in brakes. Obviously it’s more noticeable at night but some people will see it in the day time. It only happens during the bed in process. We are pretty aggressive with new pads and rotors so it’s a regular occurrence. Brakes have always worked great on track and on street with no sparks afterwards.

@@FRS2K I am about to install Hawk DTC-30 front and back on our 22’ GR86. Would the bedding process be the same? Ten times hard braking from 50mph?
