Your the first person I’ve seen on KZbin that has done everything by hand and used zero power tools. Absolutely amazing and stunning craftsmanship. You see friend I believe in doing things the old way. I’m going to try and do just exactly what you have done with building a coffee table design wood base for my mosaic tile tops . Tile is my expertise but I’m not able to do large jobs or leave my home because of my disability but I can still do jobs from home. So I’m working on building and making coffee tables and end tables from scratch. I mill the wood as well. One board design. Thank you for this video I only take what I have learned from you and do as have done. You are my true inspiration and teacher. Good journey my friend

When I use woodworking machines for efficiency, I focus more on the setting and utilization of the machines and the understanding of the messy machines themselves than on the principles and structure of the furniture themselves, and I often forget about the shape of the furniture. Maybe it's because I'm not enough smart 😭 I thought slow work keeps me thinking about shape, joinery, finishing. I'll still do hybrid woodworking, but I think again about woodworking while watching your videos.

Cheers Les.

Very nice video. Informative and entertaining. I like that you don't use sand paper. It hides the true beauty of the timber and creates so much dust. I must admit though that I do use 1200 grit on end grain to get a final smoothness.

Lovely piece with wonderfully balanced proportions. I enjoyed hearing the rain on the workshop roof as you glued up, it’s so much more peaceful than some other things. Thanks for showing the hand made pull saw taper on the legs: I’ve used my track saw in the past and it’s a lot of fuss and usually not perfect, so I’ve recently acquired the same pull saw and look forward to employing it in the same ways as you. One question: any sanding, or straight to finish after the plane and scraper? (I hope to have a plane as sharp and true as yours one day).
