Hi Yurri. Greetings from Manchester, UK. I have been enjoying your videos for the last 6 months since beginning this hobby last July. I enjoyed this video and as others have said, was surprised by your blade sharpening angle. Anyway, tonight I tried it and the results are incredible on my WoodRiver 5 1/2 plane on oak and cherry. Thank you so much Yurri. Keep up your amazing videos and builds.

In your rust prevention spray, what ratio do you combine white spirits, motor oil and paraffin? Thanks.

😊 thanks for sharing 👍, a question if i may ? You sharpen your blade to 35 ° Then steel rule and dress the rear of the blade. Is 35° a far better angle 🤔 than a 25 ° then 30° secondary bevel as I currently do. Or is 35° just for that particular type of plane you use. Hopefully you can help 🙏, should I sharpen at 35° is it this that gives you super fine shavings completely effortlessly ?. Cheers mate Les. Uk.

From what I remember from tests done by Wood by Wright, it seems 30° gives 10 to 20 initial strokes of superior sharpness before it's similar to what a 35° bevel gives. But 35° outlasts 30° giving you more plane strokes with an acceptable level of sharpness until it feels too dull. 30-35° Is generally good for all planes and chisels. However, for pairing chisels

Hi bearded brother, I was so sorry I wasn't there on the live show, I just watched the video and I have to say that it's very very interesting the way you leveled the stones and that you use granite as a base for smoothing. A question I saw that others have also asked, why do you affiliate at 35? It should be more tiring than 25°, right? Regardless, stay strong and keep your spirits strong. A hug.
