"Grab N' Go!" Delmarva Central Engines Take Control of Bringing Empty Stone Train!

Welcome Back! On today's video we recently caught Delmarva Central Railroad power, which has EMD GP40-2 #2503, EMD MP15 #1562 and EMD MP15 #1551, as a light power heading towards Dagsboro. We figured it would be them picking up the empty 63W that has been stuck in Dagsboro since Christmas Eve and bringing it back up North. Turns out we we're right! Little under an hour later we saw the MP15 lead the 90-some car train back to Harrington. It would not be going all the way north until NS power has come and get this train from Harrington.
The reason why this train was stuck for so long is because of the ice cold weather! Combine heavy rain and it's sure an impossible task to unload!
This spots we filmed at was Downtown Millsboro, Downtown Georgetown, and E Redden Rd.

Hey Craig about what time frame does DCR leave Harrington Delaware or Dover Delaware to unchange cars at Clayton Delaware. It seems they run later now. 3-4pm

@@jefftherailroadenthusiast8889 Honestly ? I don't know. Mr. Delmarva Rail Productions is probably the one to answer that. I don't even have a scanner these days....yet !! But yes, apparently (was it you ?) someone asserted at the meet time up in Clayton is mid-late afternoon. They seem to be running later now ?... Btw, there is a great new lady in my life. Let's hope she can tolerate or even get to enjoy railfanning (or foaming, lol) along with me. If nothing else, maybe she'll see it as a good reason to go take a ride somewhere.... It would be nice if she even grew to like/love it- time will tell, eh ?😎

@NorfolkSouthern Railfan Productions Since I don't have a clear answer; I asked another reliable person that knows just as much about all the railroads here like I do. I have diverted your question as to why DCR HA-1 has been running late. I will reply to this comment when I get a possible answer but I have to guess NS and their PSR may have something do with it. Another thing I found out is that the NS local that does go to interchange with DCR has also been running late. Like I said, I don't have a very clear answer but I do guess NS may have something to do with it.

@NorfolkSouthern Railfan Productions Per the answer I got, Yes, Norfolk Southern Precision Scheduled Railroading is what's causing HA-1 and NS to be late.

Awesome video, I hope one day to catch DCR in Clayton Delaware again but oddly they have been running late afternoon hours between 2-4pm.

@@jefftherailroadenthusiast8889 Not necessarily. Clayton is a 45 minute drive from where I live, Plus with my work schedule I can't get out to Clayton very frequently. Hence, not only with work I have other plans I have to attend to outside work as well. It's the second time I went to Clayton almost in the Summer time of last year. Even though I go out and get trains as my hobby, I still work and have other things to do as well.
