This was a big show for the band in terms of PR, and she was sick as a dog that night....still sounds pretty good, despite that. I have a bunch of other videos from this show and another in Boston, before the original band was broken up.

An awesome performance, but no one can compare to Ann Wilson on the original "Crazy on You". I think that acoustic guitar intro was awesome! That guy deserves an award for that!!! Great job by everyone!

Fantastic video, thanks for sharing. The Nocturnals were an amazing band, such a shame that they split. I was lucky enough to see them on their only(?) European gig at Bush Hall in London, an unforgettable night!

You know, seeing Grace live down here in the Waitsfield valley of Vermont is always cool and yet challenging as she has a lot of fans out there that want some of her time and energy. Having known her since she as about 13-14 was when we first met through her dad Sparky who I've know for well over 40 years, sign and bar top maker extraordinaire! Anyways, I always enjoy saying hello out of respect and the chance just to see that awesome smile and those brilliant teeth, LOL. TIP!* She likes the farmers market on Saturdays in the valley if your around, and The Hideawy is great spot to go have a drink and some fab food as well. Big summer ahead for Grace and co, Woodstock in Bethel at the original site and on the Vineyard another on my list, hope to see you somewhere. Rock n roll.

You want to see the intro done right... Heart - Crazy on You (Live 1977) from The Midnight Special
@orlock2010 жыл бұрын
That's not the into to Crazy on You, it's actually a separate piece called Silver Wheels. You could say he either messed up Silver Wheels or added his own piece before Crazy on You.
@sandmanmac10 жыл бұрын
orlock20 I'd say Benny made it his own, as he does in a different way EVERY SINGLE TIME he plays it, and I've seen the band 6 times live - twice they've done "Crazy", and YES, Benny made it his own each time. Great band!

@enorbet27 жыл бұрын
I agree Ann is on Mt Olympus but the Rock Honors show w/ Gretchen Wilson singing is amazing. Grace isn't bad on it (even if she can't dance, she can sing and play) but it also shows her wide and excellent taste in music. Check out her whole set on LFDH, especially Low Road.

Well I guess you just had to be there... (not that I was). The crowd loved it, he was having fun and that's infectious live. If you're a musician and perform live you should understand that and respect it. Self indulgent? Listen to Led Zepplin live version(s) of Stairway to Heaven and more... their (and many others when performing live) dalliances didn't diminish the song or the incredible artistry of the authors/players, it was the heat of the moment (and maybe some drugs LOL)!
@44elisdad6 жыл бұрын
You do realize Zeppelin were the biggest tune pirates of that era, and down right unapologetic about it too? Plus this is a jam band the whole point of which is too take a few side roads and get lost a bit before finally taking the long way back home. Zeppelin were just basically a heavy British prog band that had aspirations to be Fairport Convention and though hey sounded like they might be jamming and wandering they always took the same exact carefully choreographed roads back. I seen them a few time on both sides of the Atlantic and other than a tweak or two to the set list their show barely varied.

I like scenery-chewing self-indulgent rock performances as much as the next guy, and Ms. Potter is obviously a charismatic and sexy stage performer, but I don't enjoy screaming without a great vocal range and great tone to back up the screaming, and I don't hear that here. By contrast I'd say Lzzy Hale does the screaming thing too, but she has the vocal chops to back it up.

This is an admirable try, but the thing that Ann Wilson was telling when she said "My love the pleasure is mine," this that she knew something he didn't. This girl sounds too wasted to have same knowledge. I still enjoyed it ,though.
@ssinop8 жыл бұрын
I saw an interview with her after this show, and she was actually pretty sick that night, and you can hear it in her voice.
@devorahacts8 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear. That like came from me. As for the other person with the language, they've been reported. People need to be civil on here. Not every performance is perfect, and I did go through the trouble to say the effort was admirable. I didn't have to do that, and it's not "hate." I should also point out that most often, while covers are a nice idea, in the end, the song is most known and loved by the person who created it. They have an intimacy with it that an admirer can't have. I check covers because I'm interested in musicians, but I should be able to critique what I hear without someone being a problem or a jerk. Really, they should grow up.
@jackvai26817 жыл бұрын
reported?...fascist!
@elizabethmitchell157310 жыл бұрын
Yeesh! If she can't hit the notes she shouldn't be murdering her voice screaming them. And what's with the ultra breathy stuff? Total train wreck of a performance.
@sheila94955 жыл бұрын
Not a big fan of yelling and screaming to cover the high notes you cannot hit. Sloppy performance.
@ssinop5 жыл бұрын
This was their first "big city" show and I saw some behind the scenes video about it, and Grace was really sick before the show.....literally drinking warm tea and honey seconds before she went on.
@martyyankovich10 жыл бұрын
WHAT THE HELL!!!! That was the worst sloppy self indulgent intro to any song not to mention a classic. The poor dude looks like he needs to make potty which is where he playing obviously is. I know opinions are like A-Holes, everyone has one, but come on. What is with the headbanging. Vocally, I want to never to hear them again. I have to go listen to a real band now.
@ssinop10 жыл бұрын
Breathe man, breathe.......she is not Ann Wilson, but she and her band put on an enjoyable, tight show (She was actually sick the night of this show at the HOB)

Dude, it's just a band on You tube. Whether or not you like this cover or the band in general...In the end...they're just a band on you tube. GET A FUCKIN life if you're seriously making such a big deal out of it. It's a great cover in their own way- as part of a BIGGER show (everything's better live), and evidently you didn't play it through till "Medicine"?? if you were open minded enough to listen to their original stuff, maybe you'd change your mind
