For people who leave messages saying she isn't Grace Slick, etc. She's not trying to be anything other than Grace Potter. If you compare covers to the original you should be tied to a fire ant mound. No artist does a cover "trying" to be the original artist. They cover the song because there is something about the piece that speaks to them and that they truly admire and its their attempt to honor the other musician. Luckily, we can enjoy both versions.

The wooden water tanks were the first clue. The repeated shots of the Empire State Building, sealed the deal. Love this band.

Grace Potter does a very decent version but the Gold Standard of "White Rabbit" remains Grace Slick's original with Jefferson Airplane. To say otherwise is just not so.

You know, seeing Grace live down here in the Waitsfield valley of Vermont is always cool and yet challenging as she has a lot of fans out there that want some of her time and energy. Having known her since she as about 13-14 was when we first met through her dad Sparky who I've know for well over 40 years, sign and bar top maker extraordinaire! Anyways, I always enjoy saying hello out of respect and the chance just to see that awesome smile and those brilliant teeth, LOL. TIP!* She likes the farmers market on Saturdays in the valley if your around, and The Hideawy is great spot to go have a drink and some fab food as well. Big summer ahead for Grace and co, Woodstock in Bethel at the original site and on the Vineyard another on my list, hope to see you somewhere. Rock n roll.

I love the flamenco styling. Perhaps not the best possible performance, bit properly produced it could be a monster. Try the "live" version available here on YT. It's better.

Maybe you oughta listen instead of looking, or is that what you judge music by, the guitar playing in this song is very very good, and the band is very tight, the vocals are on key and have depth, and believable, it holds more than a candle to the original and this artist and her band have earned their way to the top.

@hobo2bobo "White Rabbit" is by Jefferson Airplane. It's an awesome song (in my opinion) that they covered. Just saying.

Dang, a lot of negativity here. Personally I think it's cool Grace took a Grace song. The original is the original, sure. But heaven forbid someone does a cover. I'd like to hear them do Volunteers next. Bet she could rock that one out.

According to Grace Slick, the inspiration for the song was "the bolero used by Miles Davis and Gil Evans on their 1960 album Sketches of Spain." The song is essentially one long crescendo similar to that of Ravel's famous Boléro. And another thing.... Grace "Legs" Potter couldn't possibly be any lovelier. Just sayin'.
