Some of Ireland’s best known singers, musicians and performers came together for Centenary, a special one-off cultural celebration, and the culmination of Ireland 2016 and RTÉ’s programme of events over the Easter weekend marking the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Rising.
Broadcast live from Bord Gáis Energy Theatre on RTÉ One on Easter Monday, this special television event, tells the story of modern Ireland through music, dance and song. It is available to watch on RTÉ Player now.
As part of the show Danny O’Reilly from The Coronas joined forces with his sister Róisín O and cousin Aoife Scott to record a very special version of “Grace” live in Kilmainham Gaol.

matinee310 Sure adams has sold yous all out and the working class still supports him . Adam and the ira killed more catholics than all loyalist paramilitaries and the armed forces put together . When diehard republicans like Brendan Hughes turned against adams and the RA it makes you wonder how there’s still support for him in with the republican/nationalist communities . The war was lost like it or not , one side was fighting for a United Ireland and the other was to remain part of Britain . 🇬🇧. Now adams along with select few republicans cash their cheques each month, the rank and file and the dead are simply a distant memory .

I wish I fought In that war anything would be better than a quarter of the country be taken by the British in any way they were kinda dumb they put all of the ira (Irish republican army) In one room and then they just planed their escape then they wouldn’t kill an American or a women but then they killed the irb (Irish republican brotherhood) and they became a symbol dumb brits

The "Freedom" so many speak of is completely meaningless and fake - especially all the Natives Whites of the British Isles are set (by current trends) to be completely replaced as the majority in only a few decades. After that - it's extinction. But the English are lost - I just hope Scotland and Ireland continue to resist oppression (where it was once by the British, and now it is from the ZIonists).

As we gather in the chapel here in old Kilmainham Jail I think about the last few weeks: Oh will they say we’ve failed From our schooldays they have told us we must yearn for liberty Yet all I want in this dark place is to have you here with me. CHORUS Oh Grace, hold me in your arms, let this moment linger They take me out at dawn and I will die With all my love I place this wedding ring on your finger There won’t be time to share our love for we must say goodbye Now I know it’s hard for you, my love, to ever understand The love I bear for these brave men, my love for this dear land But when Padraic called me to his side down in the G.P.O. I had to leave my own sick bed, to him I had to go Chorus There won’t be time to share our love for we must say goodbye.

I thought I heard instruments creep in halfway through but it was just the ever plummeting plateaus of harmony and subsequent reverberations knocking off the cold stone, Danny is so blessed with a voice that requires very little extra to push it into the definition of a tool of music with a sandpaper coarseness. That dark prison was a taut string that they scrawled with their combined voices. Lovely is the essence of this statement.

Now have I chosen in the dark, the desolate way to walk alone, yet strive to keep alive one spark of your known grace and grace unknown. And when I leave you, lest my love should seal your spirit’s ark with clay, spread your bright wings, O Shining Dove.
