Simon initially look at a person and judge them by their physical appearance. He doesn't like people on the heavy side. When Jonathan and Starla came in he whispered to the judge next to him that the worst is about to happen. Because he didn't like Jonathan's appearance. Just like what he did with Susan Boyle. His best asset is his honesty and because he is rude he doesn't have any problem calling a spade a spade. But his liability is his judgmental mentality.

After 2 albums and tour together, SONY offered them each a Solo Contract. Charlotte's album was released first. After, she decided to return to Music Arts School and graduated. She now has a successful career in Musical Theatre which was always her dream and has performed in London's West West End! Both are doing what they love. New Music Video, Jonathan Antoine singing "lo Si/Seen" per Diane Warren's request! BEAUTIFUL!!! It debuted at #1 on itunes Classical Chart!

A pop Guardian Angel and a young man with an operatic voice of mindblowing proportion. I think that in this case, Simon did indeed miss the vital necessity of Charlotte in Jonathan's extraordinary performance. She is indeed the Wind beneath his Wings. Jonathan's voice, elocution, power of projection and amazing control are so incredibly overwhelming, that it would be next to impossible to pair his voice with any female singer's. I worked with another East Coast Canadian singer who simply could not sing without her pianist. In rehearsal, I offered to play, and (Rita) simply could not speak, let alone sing. This happens. Jonathan has not had an easy road, and Charlotte opened up a locked treasure chest of talent. With professional training, Charlotte can and no doubt will often appear with Jonathan. Charlotte is good. She needs, along with Jonathan, to learn how best to lock her voice in an effective manner to the sheer power of Jonathan's incredibly indelible voice. Charlotte is the conduit and the confidence that at this point is critical to Jonathan's future. There will come a day when he may sing alone, but I confess, I think Charlotte will always be nearby. It is a spiritual union that animates them both to succeed. I have no doubt Charlotte is entirely responsible for giving the rest of us the gift of Jonathan's truly unique vocalization. I wish both of them great success - together and God willing, apart. Bravo!

@kristend3442 жыл бұрын
@@zachrorke9046 Charlotte altered her part on-the-fly to support a nervous Jonathan, she wasn't at her best. She did much better in the semi-final and the final. They sent Jonathan to Pavarotti's voice coach. (He was pleased with his voice.). Listen to some of his recent stuff - he's blossomed with his confidence and his voice has continued to mature. (see his Parla Piu Piano) They now perform separately because there just isn't much out there that would use "a pop voice" and "an opera tenor".
