I'm the same age as Bobby. We stopped work on a building site in Dublin and marched into the city centre in silence to meet up with building workers from all over Dublin on the day that Bobby Sands died. We marched to show our support for the cause that he gave his life for, our historic cause to remove British imperialism from our country. It was my birthday, and when I came home my wife asked me; am I all right? I broke down and cried. I'll always remember that day, and I'm reminded of it now listening to the wonderful singing of Bobby's granddaughter, with great sadness but with my greatest respect for our courageous patriots.

I was marching with my dad and brothers, along with my dad's best friend and hundreds of others on Boston Common in Massachusetts on the day Bobby Sands died. I had a wallet that was hand made in Long Kesh prison (The Maze) that I would KILL to still have today. It was stolen when I was just 21 years old and it feels like I lost a piece of history.

I too, remember Bobby Sands. I'm in the US. He instilled in my heart, soul and spirit, that Freedom is a God given right every person on this earth should have and be willing to fight for it. God Himself only gave mankind Laws that have to do with 1. Putting Him first, after all He is our Father and lifegiver, and 2. Respect others doing no harm to your fellow man. And That's It! This song stirs my mind to remember just how precious being Free is. God be with you all.

I am speaking as a person born in England but by God my ancestors are Irish. I carry them with me every single day. And it's wonderful to see this lovely Lady carrying the memory.. And the love... Of her ancestors. Bobby Sands is, and not was, a true Irishman. Who fought and died for his country. And it's so beautiful to see this, once again, rising up, with the Sands name. Long may Ireland live, and hopefully and very soon, we will have a United Ireland at last, and FINALLY. OUR REVENGE WILL BE THE LAUGHTER OF OUR CHILDREN. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I remember your Grandfather well, and the others who were there. He awoke in the hearts and spirit of hundreds of thousands of people all over the world, what Freedom should really mean. I have often thought of those times, and always of your Grandfather. My husband's from Mexico and he also remembers. I can't even come-up with a word that accurately states what Bobby brought to life in our Spirit. But he's never been forgotten, not in this house! If one says they believe in something, whatever it is, yet isn't moved heart and soul to fight for it, they don't deserve anything. God be with you and your family!
