If you are going to take comments from your church audience, either give them the microphone or repeat their question/comment so we can all be involved intellectually. We the KZbin viewers cannot hear them.

Yes He was. Matthew 10:34-36 *"Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.* For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household."

@ And yet, he was still not purposefully dividing people. In this quote he’s still defending the idea that a here to present God’s truth, and because man has free will and some men will reject God, Jesus knows his preaching will divide men. But not because of him, because of them.

@@TheRomans9Guy Check John 6 and what He said to them that followed HIM. SAME THING. John 6:44,59-61,64-66: *"NO MAN can come to me, EXCEPT the Father which hath sent me DRAW him:* and I will raise him up at the last day. … These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you? … But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him. And he said, *Therefore said I unto you, that NO MAN can come unto me, EXCEPT it were GIVEN unto him of my Father.* From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him." Read the WHOLE dialogue.

@ Hi Corina. I don’t think you’ve read or understood John 6 at all. It would take several paragraphs to go through the whole thing here so I’ll just summarize instead. In John 6 Jesus is defending his authority to the unbelieving Jews. In THE ONE verse you cited he is explaining that he will follow through in the responsibility given to him from the Father. But he is not teaching everything that the Father does. Yes, he says all those the Father gives him will come to him, but who are those people? Jesus tells us IN THE VERY NEXT VERSE. If you would just keep reading. It is those who have heard from the Father and learned from him. The Father teaches/draws all mankind. Those who listen and choose to learn his ways, those are the ones there Father gives over to Jesus. This is simple and clear teaching and no one should miss this. Yet many do. How is it you read this chapter and think it teaches God only chooses some people unconditionally? In John 6, Jesus explains 13 times that it is man who does the choosing. Have you read this whole chapter?

8:00min "NOWHERE IN THE BIBLE", REALLY? Proverbs 16:4 "The LORD hath *made all things FOR HIMSELF:* yea, *even the wicked for the day of evil."*
@narizaaaaАй бұрын
that doesn't mean what you think it means, ask yourself who is 'the wicked' and what is 'the day of evil' in the context?

The ONLY pair of humans God created without sin were Adam and Eve. Since the Fall, men are "created" FALLEN SINNERS. Gen 4:25-26: "And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he CALLED HIS NAME ENOS: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD." "Enos(h)" in Hebrew means "WEAK" = Man, Weak But Social Individual Etymology From the noun אנוש ('enosh), man, from the verb אנש ('anash), to be weak and social. Related names • Via אנש ('anash): Eshbaal, Iscariot, Ish-bosheth, Ishhod, Ishi, Ishvi, Issachar, Jesse, Josiah, Lois (Source: Abarim Publications)
