Here’s an example of the importance of listening carefully; because I heard him quote a verse of Scripture that I had never heard before, and it was confusing. He quoted 2 Peter 3 versus 10 through 12, and it was in vs 12 that seemed very mysterious, and caused me to use my imagination to try and ponder it’s meaning; “ But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved within 10 feet.” But why within 10 feet ? Mysterious indeed, and use your imagination of what that might look like, because I found it difficult ? But after some research, I discovered that I had misheard, and this is what it really said, “the elements will be dissolved with intense heat.”

I understand where you’re coming from, because I have the same thoughts. And I suppose you could look at it, as being selfish, and say that it doesn’t matter because we win either way. But that’s not entirely accurate either, because like probably most or at least many believers, it’s not death that we fear, but the process of dying, and the odds are slim of anyone getting out of this world gracefully, without going through some form of pain and suffering, as well as it being intense and prolonged. And so the Rapture would completely bypass that discomfort. But in addition to that, and more importantly, for those who will be blessed by experiencing the reality, of being transformed instantly, in the twinkle of an eye, with a Supernatural Physical/Spiritual body, while at the same time, being caught up into the clouds, to meet the Lord, as well as our loved family members, friends, and countless numbers, of everyone who had ever lived who were part of God’s family. And who had already been with the Lord, but the remains of what had been their earthly bodies will have been Resurrected and also transformed into their new Supernatural Physical / Spiritual bodies. And I can understand why a lot of people don’t believe it, because it sounds so incredibly miraculous and fantastic that it doesn’t seem that it would be possible. And speaking for myself, I can’t get my mind wrapped around being able to even imagine what it would be like to experience the reality of it. And maybe or probably, more likely I won’t, be that fortunate, because what are the odds, of all the people who have ever lived, that this would be the generation to see the Lord return?

I can't believe how people believe that the Millinium will be on the Earth. He's going to take us into heaven while the wicked remain in their graves and Satan is chained up under the earth. AFTER the 1000 years are over, He returns with us, His risen followers. He has the battle of Gog and Magog and He judges the wicked and Satan gets thrown into the lake of fire. Then He steps on the earth and renews it. Where we will live for eternity with God. It's simply stated in Revelation 20.
