The story of Saul was very interesting and sorrowful😥. I especially, find the part where Saul goes to the Witch of En Dor to reach out to Samuel from the Grave. Found it to be a very humorous, interesting, but very serious short story of what not do in the eyes of the Lord.🙏📿⛪👼😇🥰

God only anointed Saul to be king because the children of Israel demanded that, they, like the other nations around them wanted to have a king. And even though Samuel told them that the Words of God said. That having a king meant having their daughters becoming harlots to the king, losing their lands to the king and having their sons becoming soldiers and going off to wars. They never deter, but hold steadfast to their claim for a king. In the end God told the prophet Samuel, that it was not Samuel that the people rejected, but Him God, so give them what they want

No elaboration worth a sh*t next to my answer. King Saul was in god's favor till his kingdom was jeopardized and instead of humbling himself before god he became increasingly contrite and full of self doubt till it caused his spiral downwards. He had no real fortitude when trying times had him in it's grip. He should have taken his troubles to God and asked for help promising allegiance to his creator, the one who gave him his power initially.
