I thought we're gonna celebrate Christmas in this house in December 2021, and it went. I thought we're gonna celebrate Christmas in this house in December 2022, and it went. This year we're going to make it happen. It reminds me when I first moved in to the first apartment on my own. I slept the first night on the floor without any furniture. It was grateful. Your house build reminds me of how I become discouraged when I see slow progress and I look around and want to be restored to a better me so much faster than is happening. Trusting in the Lord’s timing when it seems things will never happen and all of a sudden the wait turns into something so beautiful! Happy birthday!!!! I can relate to your journey moving into your dream home. We bought a home built in 1962. It look like it was frozen in time because all of the sinks, bathtubs floors appliances looked brand new, with no scratches. Unfortunately to update we demolished everything we couldn’t donate. We took down all the inside walls and the roof, raised the ceilings and updated all of the house. I loved it before and after.

You can tell how long it took cuz the kids still looked like kids 😁 now they’re young adults 😑 I’m sure it took A LOT of patience & trust but you guys persevered! And someday you’ll look back & the kids will look back & say remember the time when they were building this house…how we stayed in that camper…how we would sit around the fire pit…when there was that storm & we had to take shelter in the house..etc..Even as hard as it was to go through these are all memories.
