Oh Deena, l am always impressed at the creative way you use unique things in an unexpected way. It was all so inspiring, but the minute you started on the buffet and placed that basket of greenery, l thought Wow, that looks just like a garden!! Against the dark wall and boxwood wreaths it was perfect. Then you added the bird finials!! It was like an indoor version of the birdie sanctuary outside. Love it so much. Sweet Deena, you do such a spectacular job on your home decor. I love that you use mostly things you already have. You have an eye for unique pieces and use them in very creative ways. I think you could make a cozy home out of any place you would live. It is crazy cold here in South Texas with snow all over the ground. That is very rare. All schools have been closed for a couple of days. My daughter Rebecca and my granddaughter Rachel both work for our local college and they have been off for six days now. They are happy for the unexpected holiday but I’m ready for it to warm up a little bit. Thank you for another great video. I think you said recently that you were cooking that much lately. I used to love to see what you were cooking. I made a beef stew and a pan of cornbread yesterday and it was so good in this weather. Love in Christ to you my friend

How blessed I was when you popped up last week as a suggested video to watch. Your home is warm, loving and a happy domain that we in America have seemed to have lost somewhere along the journey we are living. So sad for the children and their children, not ever knowing the charm life has to offer. You have curated your home thru time, which of course requires patience that many do not have, let alone understand that you have invested a near life time to own all that you have acquired. I know God provides, Lord knows I know for I pay deeply in storage fees to hold my lovelies. I am 66 and I too have seem to have lost my way as to why even bother to display my gifts that my two special dads, who are there to watch over me and guide me, gave to me because they love and cherish me as they do all the millions of other children they deeply care for and love. Thank you so much for breaking your thought process down in your few captured words of home and the security it should bring to us. Hi Deena, I was just thinking while rewatching this video., I like watching your decorating whether you use new pieces or not. The way you shop your house and reuse things in different places and in different ways is sufficient, it always turns out really nice. For me, I think it's because I like your "theme." Going out and buying new stuff all the time gets to be too expensive, and a lot of times, it's hard to find this specific type of "theme(the antiques). As always, it turned out really nice, and as soon as I get to the store, im gonna make those pears.

Loved, loved, loved this video. It has given me more ideas. Just beautiful. I loved how you used the music paper to cover the book. I have some vintage music wrapping paper and I am going to use your idea. I also love the pears. I have been on the lookout for pears ever since you showed us the pear in your last video. I also love all of the black and pops of color with the moss and greens. Thanks for the great tutorial! You mentioned painting the hen with baking soda and paint, adding moss and then sealing. Do you happen to have a tutorial for that piece or something similar? I have a ceramic bunny that I bought and it has that same look to it. I would love to create that look on a few other pieces. I will definitely try. If it’s the one on the counter near the sink. I used a couple different shades of greens mixed in with baking soda. I don’t ever measure. I just make a thicker paste of it. Lyssa is definitely a daughter in love. Actually most times now I like to refer to her as our daughter. We just love her so so much. For your question, I can’t necessarily answer for everyone but as for myself I have turned books around far before ever being here on KZbin because I love the look of aged pages.
