I love your capsule wardrobe! What brand is the white top and the top you're wearing in this video? So lovely! Your videos have really inspired me and I feel like I was meant to hear your message. I lost my fiance in a car accident in 2018. He was South African (I am American and I live in the PNW - I saw in one of your videos you're a PNW girl!). I was living in South Africa for a few years and I miss Africa so much (I'm back in the PNW). I lost my faith in God for a while, but I feel like that is changing. I'm very happy I came across your videos.

Thanks for the reminder that clothes are so unimportant in the light of eternity. I had planned to make myself about 6 new dresses for the summer, but my husband and I have both lost our jobs - praise God, He has provided and my husband has a job, but it's minimum wage and there's nothing left over for clothing. So, I'm making do with what I already had, some of it is pretty worn out, I've brought things back from my work wardrobe into my main wardrobe ( worn things are demoted to my work wardrobe since I work in a kitchen and don't need anything fancy) and I'm actually loving my wardrobe and loving making do and loving the reminder about what's important!!

Thank you for sharing both your wardrobe and your heart. I so admire both. 💗 I've wrestled (and continue to wrestle) with the all the things you spoke on...being content, being generous, being a good steward of all of our resources and how best to walk this all out. But also remembering it's a heart issue and not a legalistic one. I love how you graciously challenge and encourage your readers/viewers to live so intentionally and to keep our eyes on Christ.

I'm constantly mindful of these things also. I try not to 'juggle' them but just to embody them...but continually work on not letting anything take my eye off what's important. Loved this video and all content here. So glad to see a video pop up again. 🤗

50 cents! A dollar! 😵😵 That olive green dress is you, Joy. So is the white frilly top. Thank you for showing us everything.💖 I can't imagine how hard the pandemic has been in Africa. Our government is handing out big cheques but there are so many businesses closing or drastically cutting staff or closing Canadian locations. I can't imagine in Uganda. You are SO kind to think of others. God is doing a mighty work in all our hearts.

Beautiful wardrobe! I’m curious about your Pyne & Smith dresses. You are the one who introduced me to those. They are so comfortable and timeless. As far as my wardrobe, I’ve definitely been downsizing and getting rid of lots of things. I’m slowly changing over to all sleeveless and short sleeve linen dresses and cotton or wool cardigans. I live in the US in GA, so we have hot summers but also some cold winters. By having my wardrobe with short/no sleeve dresses and cardigans, it is a year round wardrobe. I love the fact that linen isn’t clingy, even when I’m sweaty, dries quickly, and is a natural fiber. So glad you are back!! I’ve missed you and your sweet encouragement!

I love your simple wardrobe and am so glad you came back to share! I remember you use to have some pretty Pyne and Smith dresses. Do you not have those anymore? You have such a sweet spirit, Joy, and I really enjoy your videos!

Sooooo. I felt convicted to give them away about 6 months ago. I wanted to bless my Ugandan friends with a comfy dress that they could wear for years and years. So I did. 🙈 I don’t regret my choice a bit. But I do miss them! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for sharing! When I had IG I use to follow you. I use to suffer with being content with clothing. I had soooo many clothes I ended up giving them away. So currently I am trying to do 16 items in my closet. Its hard with the change in seasons here in Maine. Also it was SO hard to get rid of my LL Bean dresses 😭 they were pretty on the hanger but not on me! 😆 Thanks for sharing and inspiring me to clean out my closet! 🙌

You have great taste. I wish I could have a wardrobe like yours...I love to thrift..Most of my clothing is from thrift stores. However, in NYC the thrift stores tend to be a bit overshopped and pricey. We would never have things available for $1.00. That is a real blessing. Could you please do a "What I eat in a day" video? I'd love to see how you feed your family on a budget.

Any suggestions from others who live in a four season area for a capsule wardrobe? We have very distinct seasons such as 104 heat index and humid to below zero and many inches of snow. Clothes for home and housework, hiking and then church. Suggestions appreciated
