God bless this family. I loved them so much. I was born in 67 & felt a bind with Lisa Marie for so many good reasons. We met once in an airport in Vegas. Just shared hellos and smiles. I am going to miss her so, so much. She had such an incredible, unique spirit. Not to mention what a strong human being she was after going thru everything that she did. I can't believe she's gone. Lisa Marie Presley was my age, a pre-internet Generation X kid born in the 1960s. I feel like I grew up with her. When she was a kid I remember seeing her pictures all over the magazines at the grocery store both before and after her father died. So many people remember when she was born too and my 73 year-old mother was one of them. My mom cried when news reports confirmed Lisa died last week. RIP Lisa.😥

I saw her grow up in the public, and it seemed though she had a very privledged life there was a deep sadness she forever lived with after losing her father. I am sad she passed so young. She was the spitting image of her father. I loved seeing pictures and video of her because it was like getting a little piece of Elvis back. Now that has come to an end. Sad. really did seem to have a deep sadness after her father died. For people who have good relationships with their parents, the death of a parent is hugely life altering. That grief never goes away. It dips below the surface sometimes, but it’s always there and it can pop up anytime without warning. She was only 9 when her father passed. I can’t even begin to imagine what it’s like to lose your Daddy at such a young age. She was a Daddy’s girl and an only child like me. It was very difficult for me when my Daddy died and I was 44 when that happened. I have no idea how I would’ve handled that if it had happened when I was 9. I remember exactly where I was when I found out that Elvis had died. I was in front of the TV waiting for whatever show to come on. The TV station had a 5 minute news break at 3:00 PM. That’s when I heard about it. I almost found it too hard to believe. He was only in his early 40’s. I also was 9 when Elvis died. I’m a few months older than Lisa Marie, so for a few months every year we were the same age. She’d already had her birthday by that point in the year. I hadn’t had my birthday yet that year. There were so many articles about Elvis in the newspaper. I insisted on reading every single one. That was either the first or second time I’d ever had an interest in anything that was in the newspaper other than the comics. RIP Lisa Marie, Elvis, Jesse, Gladys, Vernon, and Benjamin. I hope I got all the names right. I didn’t bother to use Google. At any rate, Jesse was Elvis’ twin who was either stillborn or who died a very short time after his birth. Vernon and Gladys were Elvis’ parents. Benjamin was Lisa Marie’s son. (I hope I got the names right.)

Bless her. Every interview she had to endure was clearly like a dental appointment for her. She learned to give answers to the same questions asked for 30 years in a manner that revealed nothing.
