Anyone who criticizes priscilla for monetizing things, she is the reason his legacy is alive with dignity, and she manages things and relives difficult parts of her life just to make sure his legacy lives on for all of us! She blossomed into such a fantastic steward of culture and history and is a star in her own right. Love Elvis ❤️

I don't think just about any other person alive has it hard as she has had it her entire life since that fateful August day. She is the one that knew him. She knew all of him. She would be the only one that could ever and most likely would ever tell the world his story and not have it be based on economic gain. What she has done for his estate was necessary in shoring up economic ventures that will keep his memory, what he gave to the world, and in some weird way his essence around for decades to come. He was a very unique talent and if others had their way (his father, his manager, his Memphis Mafia) the estate most likely would've been bankrupted. When you visit Graceland, you feel like it is really a chance to appreciate his life and career and I def didn't feel like it was a nickel and dime operation.

Without Priscilla Presley: - Elvis' stuff would've been sold off and disbursed for cheap - Graceland would've been sold, neglected and possibly torn down or turned into a retirement home or something - Elvis' would just be a curious footnote of history This woman deserves respect.

@skel760
@skel760 2 жыл бұрын
@@boogitybear2283 I’m not trying to minimize her but attorneys are the ones who came up with the idea and approached her, after going to Elvis father first, because Lisa was a minor then. Elvis did not mention Priscilla in his will. At all. She agreed and has now emerged herself in all of it. Lisa is grown. Priscilla should be in the back ground if any where at all. She just won’t let go. She makes appearances. There is a whole team who take care of the rest. This was not her idea. She just ran with it to keep relevant.

Well that’s just ridiculous! I admire the fact that he broke the rules of 1950’s white southern staunchly conservative intolerance and ignorance and sang and moved to the music he liked, but essentially he was just a very talented singer that sang and moved like a black kid, which btw was exactly what Sam Philips stated he was looking for! He wrote none of the music he sang and in terms of his musical career, that was all but over by the early to mid sixties! The British Invasion came along with young talented singer/song writers who were somewhat inspired by Elvis but more importantly inspired by and gave credit to the true innovators of rock and roll which were the black blues musicians like Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Howlin Wolf etc! Elvis played his part, but most of it was merely superficial!

Lisa your memories are yours, that no one can ever have. You will always be the mother of your baby, your boy. Try to be strong, your son, will always walk with you! His loving mum. Priscilla is the BEST and most inspiring ambassador for Graceland and Elvis’ legacy. She should be front and center now and always while she is able. Graceland is so very fortunate to have this amazing, elegant woman as its spokesperson.

Say whatever you about Priscilla but she kept Graceland from being sold off after Elvis died. She has proven to be a very smart business person and works hard to protect and preserve his legacy. She went through a lot at a very young age getting caught up in Elvis' crazy world and handled it pretty well without much guidance from anybody. I am not naive to think they had a perfect fairytale relationship at all but they really were a beautiful couple and there was a lot of love there. I don't think he could have chosen a better woman to be his bride and the mother of his only child. ❤

I'm happy Priscilla has stayed true to Elvis's memory. He would be so proud of what she did with Graceland. He wanted Lisa taken care of and Priscilla made that happen. I don't know if Elvis thought he would last so long after his death, he's still loved by so many.

@@pattynuzzello9035 I don't know I hope she really love's Elvis. I think it was hard for him to know who was truly loyal to his memory. I haven't heard of Priscilla ever saying anything negative about Elvis. It had to hard her trying to live her part as Elvis's wife while she was so young. You hear so many different thing's about Elvis but he is a constant with his loving and giving nature. He gave so much and it really made him happy to be able to give. He supported 50 charitie's in Memphis and the red cross just really too many numerous thing's to mention but Elvis was a kind and generous person. He loved people and making them happy. He had so many young girl's in love with him. The list could go on and on but to get my point across, Elvis didn't know his value while he was here. I think he would be really happy to know he's just as loved today as he ever was. God bless you, I hope you have a wonderful day. Of course Priscilla is going to keep the Presley name because before Elvis she was virtually unknown.
