I think Larry gets really upset because he's lost control of his life. I dont think he's ever envisioned everything to unravel the way it did. He seems like he would have been the type to instill discipline but Jen would ruin that by coddling her son giving him whatever he wanted. He's also said that she stopped focusing on him as a husband as soon as their son was born. Now he had a second chance with Bently and has done a lot to care for him. But he gets no credit from Maci. The conversation Maci had with Mackenzie about them really hurt him he felt like it was done behind his back in front of the world. I think he is also in denial from how obvious it was that Ryan has been on drugs for years and blames Maci for talking about it so much. I think he's upset that she makes Ryan so much of her story line. And the icing on the cake is Maci's husband telling him to calm down at Bently's game when he's been in Bentlys life from day one and Taylor is a more recent addition into Bently's life. Thats just my take on Larry's hatred Im not saying I side with him.

something i have noticed since Mackenzie came on board, Larry’s dark side has come out, Jen has retreated further into her shell and everyone in the family is looking to,blame anyone but Ryan for Ryan’s problems. Its like the elephant in the room that nobody is addressing and its getting worse as time goes on. It is pathetic. the entire family needs group counseling. Towards the end of that segment did you see how the air just kind of went out of Ryan and he turned into a zombie, chewing on his fingernails? I definitely feel after teen mom allowed us to see the interaction with the producers you seen the Edwards family dynamic change to their true roles in the household. We seen Larry as supportive as Jen when it came to Bentley in the beginning. you know see Jen is the only sense-able one in the second episode talking on the couch to Ryan when he was throwing a fit he didn’t see Bentley. Larry is the one acting out in aggression more and more as the seasons go on. Ryan sitting there at the end crying because he’s next to a wife he doesn’t know, a family that let it go down and maci wants drug tests before he sees him knowing he can’t pass one. I feel he’s using again you could tell from the moment he got to Jen and Larry’s he’s dementor is off and the way he was eating. If he was using 10k a week that’s nothing 20 days can fix with his family causing more waves in him trying to get a sober life together.

A family can really be torn apart by someone’s drug addiction if everyone isn’t on the same page. I used to have a fantastic relationship with my son’s grandmother but through his dad addiction, our relationship fell apart and now we hardly talk. He is an only child like Ryan, and his parents enabled the use/tried to conceal it, while I was very vocal about it like maci was. If everyone is on different pages about how to help, it can be detrimental to everyone’s relationship. It’s unfortunate.

ryans dad works for a coca cola bottling company in chattanooga, and i think they also bottle certain energy drinks like monster too. my husband used to work there when ryan worked there. they provide all kinds of clothing based on the drinks.

Like father like son. Ryan is his father ! Thank God Bentley is being raised by his mom and step dad. Maci is not in love with Ryan. She is relieved that she dodged a bullet. Ryan is not off drugs. Listen to him and watch his actions. Watch the way he eats and look at his eyes which he can't hold open. I hope Maci uses every bit of filming the show has done in court . That alone will show the judge Ryan is unfit and his parents are enablers. Ryan's father is a hot head and you can tell where Ryan's issues first began,

Ryan crying actually hurt my heart. Seems like one time he's feeling the pain he pushed away with the drugs which makes me feel like he's sober. I hope he pushes through and changes forever. It gave me hope.

Ryan and his family want Bently to be this lazy kid like Ryan. That life is just about being a kid and having fun. That's exactly how Ryan has been and still is since Maci was pregnant with Bently. Maci trying to show and educate her child as the oldest to look out for his siblings or to partake in family responsibilities is showing Bently how to be a family man. Something obviously Ryan isn't showing him at all. Ryan's problem is and always will be until he finally confronts it that he hates Maci for making him a father at such a young age. He begrudges her for it. He feels that she ruined his youth. He doesn't like responsibility of any kind.

Ryyyyyan will be putting a target on his forehead if he goes to court. His drug use will get thrown into the mix and he will get supervised visits with Bentley. And when i was Bentleys age i had as much responsibility as he did cuz i had siblings. I was able to pour mu cereal and clean my room and help my mom do little things. Maci is doing the right thing with Bentley. And ryan outted himself about the drugs. We knew he was on something!! I hate how petty his parents are being And i feel bad for Bentley cuz his classmates will see this and he will get teased.... :'(

I’m not understanding him “graduating” rehab in 21 days... I didn’t know it was such a thing? I’ve never heard of anyone getting to leave that soon. Especially if they was doing as much drugs as they claim he was. The only way I’ve ever heard of someone leaving that early was if they left on their own or failed a drug test or got into trouble while there. While I’m not very familiar with rehab really, just going by what I’ve seen on tv... I could be completely wrong.

I wasn’t trying to be offensive at all. I was referring more of the getting out early more than anything. Like I said, I don’t know a lot about it. But from what I have seen or heard, typically I’ve not saw anyone get out early for the reason they said. It made me feel like it was more of a cover up. Bc he got out very soon after Mack got to visit him for the first time. So idk... And a huge congratulations to you on doing well! That’s definitely something to be proud of!! Brandie Duncan i wasn't offended sorry if I came off rude but I was just so stunned ryan said he graduated early when he was so obviously ill. But im my support group sometimes when someone passed away and they lived a sober life we sometimes say they "graduated" because we know theres no end to living sober and recovery. I think its illegal to release a paitent without an aftercare plan at least in the hospital system i do clinicals at unless you leave AMA (agaisnt medical advice) then you get no follow.up appointments no prescriptions... and usually rehabs operate the same way. You can check out and leave whenever you aren't forced to be there so... i think he was making himself sound good but i guess some people know better and youre right its fishy to not have an aftercare plan beacause in the typical case a discharge for a paitent has follow ups and such.

Usually they havr a family session and they talk to familiea about addiction and treatment and my parents knew what I should have been doing after rehab. I relapsed after rehab but after a bit I realized I needed help. Grateful for 2 and a half years and I hope ryan gets to the root of his problem and tackles it head on so that he doesnt have to turn to drugs he can do.better.
