@@ligsun3502 a baritone singer can have a good tenor as well! A singer hired to sing in one register can sometimes sing in other registers, a commonly unheld notion in most people.

@@ligsun3502 He's a baritone with good nasal resonance which gives him a more graceful sound on the higher notes.

Beautiful rendition! I am Scottish and lived in Japan for four years. I actually had a Japanese soldier bow from the waist when he heard me talking and he recited, in perfect English, everything that he had he had ever learned about the Scots and the battles they had fought. I taught conversational English while there and didn’t want to leave. I had many great experiences while living there and would love to go back again.

I also want to add that I too, like yourselves, believe in the power of music. I see music as a universal language. Music helps to unite us. Even when sung in different languages, from people of different cultures...people understand the message when the melody and the emotions touch the heart and soul. (Same as good dancing..more so when done in unity..but especially from purity.) Good quality music does all these things..be it vocal or instrumental. Such music is equal to a smile, happiness..or sadness and a sad face...many emotions..more then words of any spoken language. All people understand these things. Even the Angels in Heaven sing in unity in praise of the creator. Even the Creator is referred to as 'The Lord of the Dance.' All done in purity. Lots of love from Australia..but Most importantly..God Bless You All. :) xo

Should auld acquaintance be forgot And never brought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot And the days of auld lang syne? For auld lang syne, my dear For auld lang syne We'll drink a cup of kindness yet For the sake of auld lang syne And surely you will buy your cup And surely I'll buy mine! We'll take a cup of kindness yet For the sake of auld lang syne We two have paddled in the stream From morning sun till night The seas between us Lord and swell Since the days of auld lang syne For old acquaintance be forgot And never brought to mind Should old acquaintance be forgot For the sake of auld lang syne? For old acquaintance be forgot And never brought to mind Should old acquaintance be forgot In the days of auld lang syne?

Are you a choir from Hong Kong perchance?
@sully976711 ай бұрын
Few choirs have ever succeeded in taming the rough and ready spirit of Auld Lang Syne and sanitising the often dirty and frank nature of the song. If any manage it, though, the Gracias Choir have done so most beuatifully of all, with a cleanliness of sound and tone that really does the angelic nature of the song's intent some justice. Also the translation of the Scots-language lyrics is incorrect, factually speaking, but shows a wonderfully interesting interpretation of the same sense. And I just have to laugh at the attempt to sanitise the words "willy-waught" which are 100% meant to be sung in a slurred scottish accent whilst drunker than a skunk. It is so pretty how you manage to do it, which only makes it funnier, because it's straight-faced and absurd at once, something glorious only because you sing it so well.
