I used to think Mac Wilburg's arrangement of the First Nowell was the best, but this one is now tied for favorite (in my book). There's even prominent french horns in BOTH, which is so lovely.

I think we just witnessed a glimpse of what the Heavenly host sounded like who sang to the Shepards near Bethlehem! So Powerful, so Beautiful, so Emotional! And the director looked like an angel up there leading these beautiful people. My highest compliments to all of the performers. It will be one of my favorite songs forever and ever. Thank you.

Most choirs are too small for this. It needs the hushed voices like BYU use in the first voice, but a large choir is then needed to get the volume to sit with a full orchestra. In short, I love this. Thank you

Stunning. I listened with my eyes closed and imagined the skies filled with angels praising God and proclaiming the birth of the messiah and Mary holding in her baby in her arms with no full understanding that she was holding the God of creation.

I used to sing in a church choir my father singing the Messiah every year at Christmas time........ I would have sung with him but he sang baritone and I sang he continued singing all of his life until he was 80 years with the Barber Shop

When the world is so out of kilter with one another, it’s so wonderful to hear this wonderful carol. May 2024 be a time that peace and not conflict rules. Hatred and division needs to be brought under control everywhere. Our natural planet is dying we need to concern ourselves on that, not petty dictators/ bullies. Turn your backs on those persons they don’t care for you and your country but only their own self so called importance.

I was at a ""Nordpacificer Sängerfest" in Nanaimo, BC years ago, where amassed German choral societies (Gesangverein) of 550 voices sang "Lied an die Freude". It is an unforgettable experience to be part of such a gathering of singers. I hope this experience was just as memorable for these young people.
