Incomplete history aside (but we all tend to focus on our part in history - not the part other people play) ... I think every single player, on the rich BJJ landscape we play on ... owes a debt of gratitude to this man. I had my first four BJJ lessons, with him, in his Torrance garage. It is also where I met my coach, Rigan Machado. Deepest respect and kudos to him ... I wish him a long, wonderful and joyous life.

I trained with him briefly in the mid-1990s and he was one of the top instructors I ever met. A long time ago and good memories and a knack instructing.

This man is the creator of the UFC and the reason people all over the world watch MMA today. He should be inducted into the UFC hall of fame and they should make a Docu about him.

Rorion brought GJJ and as he said, there would be others come with JJ, but not GJJ. Where they would piggy back off GJJ.
