Thanks for the interesting video. We'll be on a similar excursion in just over a fortnight's time. Can't wait. The sauces which you had with the potatoes are called Mojos and are typical of the Canaries. There are loads of different ones. They are lovely, and go with almost anything savoury. I think the last eruption of Mt Teide was 1909, or there abouts.

Could be your excursions were impacted by switching from Africa time to Europe time, although Spain is usually more chill with timekeeping than, say, Germany.
