Excellent preaching Pastor Knox. I am currently deployed in the middle east but grew up seeing you every summer when you visited in Montana and preached at my church I attended when I was very young. I listen to one of your services everyday after work in my down time. Keep up the good fight.

Great sermon, but I'm a little confused. 1-5 Paul is talking about how great the Macedonian churches giving is and how it's great because they have so much love for Christ. Vs 5 says they gave their hearts fully over to God first and then gave all their fleshly possessions to us, just as God willed them to do. Then in vs 6 he says, this same spirit is what I wanted Titus to bring to you guys in Corinth. This spirit of being sold out for Christ. Your preaching though, if I understand correctly, as if Corinth was expressing this behavior already, when Paul is writing about Macadonia, which was way up north, far from Corinth. Am I misunderstanding this?

I was hearing this, and wondering the exact same thing, didn’t know if I was misunderstanding something.
