Thank you so much for this tutorial, my car seat looks great! I ended up giving the seat a bath without the fabric material. It helps to know that my 2nd child will be in a good as new seat.

Is the plastic part on the back that the straps go under necessary to have? My car seat was passed on to me but it's missing that piece... is my car seat still safe?

Mine was brand new and doesnt have it either. Maybe a newer model modification not sure
