I'm undecided now, this was my ONLY option but I read that the ball indicator is very annoying, the straps issues (never tighten enough, constantly tangling, and never seem even), the seat moves no matter how tighten you install it, the croth buckle is too short... And now, I don't know, just when I found a really good deal. I'm leaning now for the Safety 1st grow and go. I've found the reviews are way more positive. My son is 2 years and I really need the carseat (he's rear-facing in a chicco fit2). I really need your advise. Thank you so much.

Most Graco seats have the ball indicators. All 3 that I own do and though they take a minute to settle otherwise I’ve not had an issue. Is there a rock or something stuck in you strap adjuster? That’s happened on mine. The straps are super easy to tighten. I have a graco extend2fit and a chicco nextfit max that are a ton harder to tighten than this seat. This one has always been there smooth for me. You can reset the harness by loosening it all the way and moving the head rest all the way up. Then while the straps are loose and even lower the head rest back down. That should fix the uneven issue. Are you using seatbelt or latch to install? I find graco seats a lot easier to install using seatbelts. You do have to lock the seatbelt with this seat. Also are you using the infant insert still? That will make the crotch buckle a ton shorter. I would take it out. I use this seat as a back up so both my 2.5 year old and my 14 month old ride in it regularly and both fit well (with no infant insert) The safety first is a huge pain to install. And it’s often outgrown rear facing before 2 due to the small head rest and one inch above the head rule.

@@Thecarsafekids Right now I use the latch for the chicco fit2, is the infant carseat, that's why I need to switch to a different one, my son is getting taller and I see he's not happy. We live in a small city and we don't travel often. Unfortunately, in the city where I live I haven't found either the Triride or the Grow and go, so that's why I read too much online hehehe. I do believe all the issues I read online is just because people do not read the instructions properly. I drive a Nissan frontier 2014, I checked the back of the back seats and both carseats are suitable for my truck. Yes, I think the Safety 1st is more comfortable than the Triride, but it doesn't mean it's not comfortable, right? I wanna stick to the one I choose for a very long time, until my son is much older.

The triride is definitely going to be longer lasting than the safety first. Either would fit in your vehicle. Many people don’t read the directions all the way through so that definitely could be the issue people have. I’ve installed many Graco seats and definitely have found that they install easier with seatbelt. The triride isn’t difficult to install with seatbelt or latch. But it definitely is easier with the seatbelt.
