The terms are starting from 2 to 10 so which means the total number of the terms is equal to 9.

Good day Mr Nkosi😀 Question : When it comes to geometric sums will you be penalized for using the wrong formula in terms of whether r is greater or smaller than 1? Because on the one with the 255.5 one, I calculated it as if r was less than 1 but still got to the same answer. [Just for curiosity's sake and for future refferences ]

At 16:18 why do we use 9 instead of 10 since the last term is 10

It's supposed to be 10-2=8 Since the counter starts at 2 and ends at 10 there are 8 numbers therefore n=8

Try dealing with the upper part first then when you're done do the other part you will then get an answer of 255.5

Because the pattern started at n=2. That means it could not have been n=10 but instead n=9 (there were 9 terms(n) not 10) Formula for it is (number at top of sigma notation - number at bottom of sigma notation + 1)
