hi lady lu. so in both options u MUST write the main amount first then the + then the percentage then multiply with the same main amount again to get your answer? and must you follow this process when working out both forms of interest? thank you.

Yes, the amount the compound interest is calculated on is the only thing that changes.

Ma’am with the compound interest calculated in 2022 153492,5804 + 23837,39774 How does it equal 177329.98? Tried it in my calculator so many times it doesn’t give that answer did we miss a step or did you round off? If so by how much and can you please specify how , thank you 💗

Convert years to month's so that with be 30months... And if interest is per annum ÷12 to make interest monthly and work from there

you first calculate for the 2 years then the 6 months separately, dividing by 12

You are only tested on compounded annually in a Mathematical Literacy exam.
