Tiberian Sun is a stand alone game, and a very good one at that.... It falls under the command & conquer franchise - it's the most futuristic of all of the games (Red Alert, Generals etc). Firestorm is the expansion of Tiberian Sun. I've played most of the C&C games and this is by far my favourite. I still play it (PVE) now on my MAC.

I agree frankly while I loved watching the auction the items displayed were not the best really lots of later prints and stickers all over the boxes, etc. I hope HA does lots more, maybe in a few years you will see the youthemannowdog curated PC big box event heh heh. I have so many big box to submit but just patiently waiting for VGA to lower prices or other competition to enter the fray

Regarding that call of duty, it is not the true first print. There is a “pre-order box” release that came out before the full game release that you could buy in the stores and came with a special art book.

Oooooo good to know! With some console games, preorder boxes exist as well but they are far less desirable than the first retail printing of the game. Do you know for sure that the preorder box would be the most desirable version? Or just that it's technically the earliest?

@@GetTheGreg the pre-order box would technically be the earliest version of the series. As far as desirability among collectors, I suppose the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I’m not sure when we will ever get the chance to see though because I’ve only seen 2 sealed copies of the pre-order box listed over the last 5 years.

Do have a few sealed PC games in the collection. Not super expensive but I've got the big box of both Kotor 1 & 2 which I'm delighted with. Not too sure about getting them graded though due to shipping & grading fees.

Paying that much money for a later re-release (SLASH) copy of Madden is ridiculous and I'm not sure that the buyer knew the difference. I myself have one of the largest collections of Big Box PC Games and have started archiving them all. I'm only half way there I already have almost 200 of those being sealed thus far!

Alot of people on ebay list their copies as 1st print, but are not. Always do your due diligence. Great video Greg. Glad we get auctions every week as i love seeing new games hit the market.

Mega man is almost unplayable unfortunately. I have a promo “Coming soon” big box StarCraft 1 and in great condition, but was never sealed. Considering sending it in to VGA. What do you think Greg?

That's really disappointing about the mega man haha 🥲 And for your StarCraft, if it's just a CIB copy of it, VGA actually won't grade it. They only do sealed games OR "opened, never used".

@@GetTheGreg I guess let me be more specific. It’s a promo big box, so never had a game on it. It looks very similar to a big box cib of the game, but was empty and has a “Coming Soon” printing on it. If it wasn’t in such pristine condition, I wouldn’t even be considering it.

Hey Greg. Though not an actual expansion, think if Command and Conquer Red Alert was the original Starcraft game, then Tiberian Sun is definitely Brood War, if Starcraft and Brood War were both standalone games. Tiberian Sun was a much better game than the original and might've brought more eyes to the Command and Conquer franchise as a whole.

I'm a big Age of Mythology fan myself, glad it got some love too! I still have my original Gold Edition from childhood but the box is worn here and there from all these years. Still glad I have it though. At some point I plan to send in my sealed Collector's Edition to VGA...maybe after their prices come down a bit.

If a NES game does not have a plastic seal but only the sticker seal. Is this considered CIB or Sealed by WATA? And if this is Sealed how is the ++ rating done?

If the sticker seal is the original way in which it was sealed, then it would be considered sealed. Pretty sure the ++ is just determined by the condition of the sticker itself in that case!
