Im not a Russ guy at all but to say the bears would be pissed if Caleb was a Russ type player is laughable The Bears have never had even B- QB play for any extended period of time let alone A or S tier play

Yeah you take that with a 1st overall pick 100% of the time. Guy is a HOF that won an SB and was a perenial top 5 qb in the league for a decade.

Great exercise because draft pundits always make every player sound like future hall of famers which isn’t realistic. If you get a solid production from a player for 8-10 yrs in the first round that’s a win. Anything more is a bonus.

Exactly. Luck, Manning, Brees, Brady, Rodgers, and then the short term flavor of the month-Wentz, for example-would always have been ahead of him. There were reasons he never got an MVP vote.
