Very nice... the 260 is very utilitarian. I looked at one yesterday. Actually hydro fluid, unlike my TL8, Diesel engine oil for hydro.

A little wet for a finish job... but it sure made that sod roll nicely. When you get that blade shined up a bit more, you’ll be able to roll sod suitable for retail! Nice job.

Lots of Slab on grade houses there? We dig a lot of basements because footings have to go below frost line so you may as well have a basement

How you getting rid of the track marks and making it perfectly even?

You can back drag it with the blade or skid steer to get the marks out. And you just have to check it with a laser level to make sure the grade is correct

No we will dig a footing on that grade then they stack two 2x10 to form the slab and fill it with base rock. All of the plumbing is in the rock

A lot of guys use skid steers for this kind of job. But the mini excavator did a good job too.

I am clearing off .6 of an acre. I am taking out trees and planning on doing the grading. I do have to have a culvert put in. But mainly needing to get rid of stumps and make a pad. Would it be better to use a slid steer or mini excavator?

Justin Keller yeah I love the truck. I’ve owned it almost 4 years and have only serviced it and put two batteries in it. They are very reliable. It sits a lot now with having the other but every time I need it it fires right up

I think 1/someone should not build on top soil 2/the grading should be only by removing soil, not adding. Because the added soil will decrease volume with time, so it cannot be considered as stable anymore. I am impressed how you can set a level in both directions without any instrument reference

They brought in clay and compacted it before they built the house. We don’t really have topsoil here just rocks and more rocks lol

We don’t have to dig as deep here to hit good solid ground we have about 6” of topsoil the rest is rocky clay and limestone. My methods may not work every where but they work for where I’m located
