Try using a 4-1 combo bucket on that loader it will cut your grading time by 2/3 once you learn how to use it..I bench and balance 6 pads per day

Jason Wilson I knocked around the idea of getting one
@jasonwilson29275 жыл бұрын
@@eliteearthworksllc you will find that when open the bucket about 6-8 inches it will work like a box blade ..it will down the high spots with the dozer blade fill the bucket and drop the dirt in the low spots and that's moving forward and when reverse the front cutting blade on the clam can cut and fill the same way so every move you make you and grading ..also you can pull large amounts of dirt back ..I love the time saver you have to lift and roll your bucket to dump at ground level all you do is open the bucket to empty ..I swear after you get use to it you will be doubling you production ..just don't pick up concrete and other materials that will warp it

Jason Wilson I just worry I’ll wear the bottom out too soon here with all the rock. I’m getting around 2000 hours on a tooth bucket now. I just bought that excavator two weeks ago so maybe one of these days I’ll try one. I’ve got by with a tooth bucket for 19 years 🤣

You don't need to compact that fill? Where i live, that would have to be compacted and tested.
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
They should make them here but they don’t. The footings have to be dug to virgin ground so I guess that’s how the justify it 🤷🏼♂️

@@eliteearthworksllc That helps. Still leaves uncompacted soil under the slab to settle over time. Thanks for the reply.
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Leif Wilson oh yeah it will still settle. They do stack 2 2x10’s and fill it will base rock and compact that then plumb it. Then pour the floor in a monolithic pour but still not great base material
@arkansas13365 жыл бұрын
@@eliteearthworksllc...Load your single axle dump truck 'to the max' and run over the fill 3-4 times (opposite directions), maximum compaction will be achieved, if moisture content is correct....(engineers usually didn't do a test when we compacted 'fills' that way). And if you're working by the hour, you and the truck earn the fees like you and your other machines and the builder gets a better product.
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын

What's the highest house pad you ever seen? what the most aggressive grade off the pad you seen? I've seen some houses in Port Saint Lucie the other day where it seemed the house was on a 10' pad and the most aggressive pitch into a -5' ditch. Given how cheap fill is and it's always required it seems... Would you buy a non coastal lot at near free if lot had a 30x40 area in the center that was -3' under Base Flood elevation and FEMA Maps declared it (alone) a Flood zone where neighbors are high and are not. FEMA told me to just fill and send them a Elevation survey to change maps.
