@@mathieumalecki6332 Unless you count Barnes's price tag (21.7 Million $$$), which is why the deal makes sense for Sacramento and the Bulls. Barnes value is in the locker room, with a dash of three point shooting. He's a good dude, and a pro's pro, but 21.7 Mil??? The DeRozan swap for a couple second rounders and a five year pick swap that could be useless.... please that's a fleecing if I have ever seen one for Sacramento, even if the fit doesn't pan out because DeRozan can be moved at the break for value. It's win win for Sac. Now all Sacramento has to do is pick up a decent 3/D with length at the 4/5 and they are set for a multi-year run in the West with good young talent on the roster (Keegan, Ellis, and Carter). It's not a bad trade for the Spurs but and A....LOL, no.

Did you look up Keegan Murray’s defensive stats especially his 1v1 on ball defense. Keegan was the best defender in that starting line up, after the all star break when the league let the guys play Fox became a defensive problem for teams averaging 2 Stls a game. Keon Ellis will help out as well if he’s starts. I expect the kings to be around 12th in defense if everyone continues to keep a defensive mindset like they had at the end of the season last year. We still need 3 & D wing depth and hopefully they address that.

I really like Keon Ellis and also Devin Carter off yalls bench defensively, I personally just don’t know if I can trust the starting 5 defensively going into next season. I do think Fox has raised his defense as well and Murray too but DeMar on the starting 5 does worry me a bit but if Sacramento can be the 12th best defense or around that, Kings should be real good with the high power offense they’ll have.

@@HoopSessionYTkeon ellis is one of the youngins mike brown is really invested in alongsides keegan. They both will be starting, and monk will most likely come in from the bench as a spark plug. Im a spurs fan, but there is a reason why these sac town fans love him; gritty, plays defense and can make shots. He will be a great piece for them in the near future

I agree, I believe I said that exact thing in the video at one point, but I do think he’ll be better with the Spurs with less pressure on him but also him wanting to prove a point going into his last year of his contract after next season. I also don’t want to fully judge my thoughts on Barnes off only last year. Fair point to bring up his below average year tho, but the Spurs getting him free is great value imo.

Not crazy at all. The biggest contribution will be internal development from Wemby, Vassell, Sochan, Tre and Malaki Branham. Plus getting CP3 HB and Castle as new players is a needed boost. The only question marks on this team is Keldon and Collins both have shown to be above average players when they can be ball dominant but have so many flaws in their game as role players.

Keegan was the kings best defender , not Barnes. Barnes very average defender, maybe even below average at times. He was good couple years ago but last year was prob his worst defensive year during his kings tenure

I think the defensive culture of the Spurs going into next year will make Barnes tap back into that guy he was 2 years ago defensively imo. I feel like he has something to prove in a way and I think that could really help out the Spurs, that’s one reason why I’m still a fan of the pickup.

I’m not saying Barnes is the best player in the deal, but factoring in everything, I’d still grade the Kings side lower than the Spurs, but DeMar is obviously the best player in the deal still.

@Sassarai916 Well for the Spurs, they gave up nothing in this deal and got a valuable pick for trade, continuing to stack up their draft capital, and get a vet who plays the exact position they need while on a decent contract. For the Kings, I still like DeMar on the team for the regular season but for what the Kings want to do, which is have playoff success, I have a hard time believing DeMar will help this team in the playoffs. He’s never been known as a playoff riser, if anything, it’s been the opposite in his career. I still like the contract and they didn’t give up that much so I still like it for Sacramento.

Plus kings didn't give up much and can still bring in another good player. While spurs might get a good draft pick and a mentor, it's just not as impactful.

The kings received demar derozan for Barnes (the weakest link in our starting lineup) and Chris Duarte and a second round pick . The kings still have 4 first round picks and Kevin huerter to trade and all our core players locked in . They are not done making moves . Everybody acting like Barnes is going to move the needle . He was a liability on defense and disappeared on offense. Ask any kings fan 🤝

As Kings fans, people are overlooking the fact they gave up an unprotected 2031 pick swap to the Spurs. By 2031 Wemby will be in his prime and the Kings could be rebuilding. It would be a disaster if it ends up being a top 3 pick. But I guess you have to give up something to get something. However, I would have avoided giving up that pick swap that far in the future.

That’s assuming wemby is still with the spurs in 7 years, stays healthy for 7 years and as a big is still affective in 7 years.. also the fact pop for sure won’t be coaching in 7 years. The kings have more talent right now that they could trade for picks on the back end later anyways. Worrying about a pick swap in 7 years is goofy. Either way you will get a pick and unless the spurs are actual title contenders by then it won’t matter. Most the titles were won with Timmy and the lost the one guy good enough to win a title in kawhi. Just cause the spurs had an era of David and Timmy doesn’t mean the spurs are always going to be good and besides that era they don’t really have a history of being great… the main cog of that era is 75 years old….kings have also only had a handful of top 3 picks ever and basically besides the Marvin pick have all been in the 70’s or later when they were not even in sac

Keegan murray and Fox we're defensive Problems once they got adjusted, and don't give me started on keon.Ellis and his defense. Towards the end of the season, we were one of the best defensive teams in the league.

A aging role player for a superstar, AllStar, big name and bucket getter. Barnes was not our best on ball defender last yr, it was Keegan. Plus we will probably start Keon next year so with him and Keegan guarding the best 3&4 our defense won’t be as bad as people make it seem. Fox can hold his own, Derozen isn’t a terrible defender he just isn’t good 😂 and same with Sabonis, he’s not as bad as everyone says he is but he’s not great. So really 3 out of 5 players have defense and only the Center position is truly a liability defensively.
