I was really happy for the Knicks to get Kevin Knox , yeah I wanted Mikal Bridges too but I was disgusted on how ESPN showed Knox and then to the Knicks fans who booed Porzingis and hating on Knox like that , he has a high ceiling and going to be a solid rookie for the Knicks for 2018/19

I don't think anyone would have been upset if Mikal (and maybe even MPJ) were already selected. Knox will be a very versatile scorer for New York, lots of talent were in this draft and I don't think we will miss out.

Burnaby 604 nktlikina was a good pick. He's a project, but he had a really good rookie season for his minutes played. He showed a good ability to hit 3s consistently, be a great defender and playmaker and he's still growing and can become even better. Can't call someone a bust until 4-5 years after the draft.

His FG % was 45%. His defense is HORRIBLE. What MVP has 45% FG %. Keep believing the hype regarding MVP. So why the NBA isn’t being raided by every Euro League MVP every year? BUST. The Euro league is the MINOR LEAGUES. I bet DeAngelo Russell or Tim Hardaway, Jr. could win the Euro League MVP...
@sportschool35376 жыл бұрын
romeodred... Sorry kid... but first, he shoots from 3pt line that may be shorter than the NBA line, but LONGER than college... Second, DeAngelo Russel WOULD NOT be MVP in the Euroleague because yes he has talent but he his brain is barely functioning... Third, when you're the 1st option on a team and you're 18 it's LOGICAL than you don't shoot very well on a competition that is FAR SUPERIOR to college basketball... stop kidding your ignorant selves... 18 year old kids that 90% of them will never even play basketball professionally are not comparable with the best PROS outside the NBA... Fourth... he took 70% of his shots OFF THE DRIBBLE.. that is HARDER than a spot shot... but if you've never actually played the damn game how would you know the difference... Fifth... He also has an ELITE playmaking ability that you forget to mention because you need to say he is a bust when he is obviously much MUCH more talented than guys like Sexton and Trey Young Seventh... the no.1 pick in this draft didn't even make the Final 4 of the NCAA tournament... this kid has WON every single damn competition he's ever played in... against PROS... not college kids... Eighth(I can go all day)... you say he's a bad defender... but he is actually a mediocre defender because he tried hard on defense... you want a REALLY bad defender in this draft? Try the "ultimate competitor" (his dumb words) DeAndre Ayton who doesn't even to the basics on defense... Ninth... everyone says that he is a bad athlete... he is not... if he was a bad athlete why is he a monster on the open court? Why is he sooo good on fast breaks? Tenth... his ball handling skills are far superior to the college kids because he has the skillset to be able to do hesitation moves, crossing moves, pump fakes and all kinds of dribbles and chaining them in a way that no other guy in this draft can... but sorry... these are basketball skills.. you are only concerned about who jumps higher... not who knows the game better... Eleventh... this kid scored over and over against Porzingis, Gasol and other NBA players in the European Championship that he WON and was member of the tournaments top 5 player lineup... Let me see Ayton and Bagley going up against Pau Gasol and Kristaps Porzingis and still winning gold and then tell me... Final point... EVERY SINGLE BASKETBALL SCOUTER THINKS THIS KID IS RIDICULOUSLY SPECIAL... THE ONLY GUYS THAT BRING HIM DOWN ARE AMERICAN MEDIA... NOT AMERICAN SCOUTERS... BUT THE MEDIA AND THEIR SO CALLED ANALYSTS AND EXPERTS THAT ARE ACTUALLY DUMBASSES THAT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE DAMN GAME AND ONLY TRY TO BAIT THE CROWD WITH THEIR RIDICULOUS NOTIONS ABOUT THE GAME... So, shut your mouth... you have a natural winner at 19 years old... and you go and criticize him when he has won EVERYTHING and you say that all the kids in college that have won NOTHING are better... Learn the damn game... I'm tired of seeing people call themselves "basketball fans" and not being able to even understand how the god damn game is played... they think basketball is about who jumps the most and who runs the fastest... pfff... yeah right...

It’s crazy how players develop. Most of the stuff you said about SGA is true to this day (except for the fact that his turnover percentage is extremely low nowadays). Not an elite playmaker, doesn’t take a lot of threes. And yet he refined all the other parts of his game to elite levels (driving, midrange, defensive playmaking) and is now a top 5 player in the game. Love looking back on videos like this.

Tickets aren't cheap in the new arena for the average Pistons fan, who tends to be a Detroit resident. People in the metro area are pretty apathetic towards the Pistons. Even between 2002 & 2008 when the Pistons were really good, Detroit Metro cared more about the Red Wings and that hasn't stopped.

Sport School id say bagley has one if not the most potential, he can be a statistical beast
@sportschool35376 жыл бұрын
Devin... I think you underestimate the importance of basketball IQ and fundamentals... in both categories Doncic is off the charts... Bagley is a good athlete but that's about it... his shot in almost non-existent and he doesn't have good technique to score easily... in terms of potential I don't know but the best rookie in this draft is definitely Doncic... the Mavs have struck gold... they have their franchise player for the next 15 years... and the kid is a born winner... he competes to win with heart and soul and absolutely HATES losing... that's hard to find... To give you a good example, they compared his game to Joe Johnson and that's extremely accurate... Joe Buckets wasn't quick or athletic but he was crafty and had good technique with the ball in his hands... that's what Doncic is... with the difference that he's much better than what Joe was at 19... so he has the potential to be a better version of Joe Johnson... and Joe was a player that scored almost 25ppg in his prime...

Dude what are you talkin about ? Trae to the ATL is a bussines move ? Come on dude, as a hawks fan who wanted Luka to go to ATL, I can say that at the end it's A graded move. GM of Atlanta is Travis Schlenk, man who was assistent of general manager in golden state when they drafted Curry, Thompson, Draymond... You can't say it's bussines move because it's obvious that hawks organisation has a plan to build warriors look alike team with Trae PG, Kevin Huerter (19th pick, great 3 point shooter who is 6'7 btw ) and we got top 5 protected pick 2019 from Mavs too, so saying it's just business move is kinda stupid. Shaping up to be a very good class. The top 5 guys all look like franchise cornerstone players already, and it’s very rare a draft doesn’t have a high pick that’s a bust.

I love doncic but i'm not too sure he'll be a good fit with carlisle since carlisle wants his players to follow his plan rather than create their own plays..hopefully they turn out well and luca builds a good defence game because offensively he is a sharp BEAST

He was probably the best small forward in the draft, either him or Mikal Bridges, but he has a buttery shot, great three point shooter, I think he would fit in well with Denver’s style of play.

There was a lot of info coming out, that Orlando might have taken him at the 6th spot, so ATL felt like they had to make their move in the trade with Dallas at 5. If he does improve his defense and becomes something close to Steph Curry, this will be a looked at as a huge success. Definitely a risk, but the potential is there.
