Thank you for being level headed and logical about the Jerami Grant signing. It's great we were able to lock him down. We also had a 10/10 draft with Scoot and Kris Murray and I think Rupert has high upside as well. Now we just have to wait and see what we get back for Dame

I hope him not mentioning Dallas comes back to bite him by the end of next season. Since he won't grade Dallas' Free Agency then I will... I give them a B. Re-signing Kyrie was a must, they got it done on a so so deal. Williams for Bullock was an upgrade in talent, and he's much younger, and locked up long-term on a very reasonable contract. Curry is very quality depth at that price. Exum has real potential to find a role on Dallas. Powell should not be starting, but he's a good backup, and a really good deal at 3 years for 12M total. And at least they tried on Thybulle.

They kept their best players and signed a couple decent other players to strengthen what they already had. Plus some of their players are still young and getting much better rather quickly. Austin Reaves is a great example. They got to the WCF while Bron was playing thru a broken tendon in his foot. If everyone is healthy they could probably be able to beat Denver if they play them again and go to the finals and maybe win Brons 5th ring

NAW did a great job in the playoffs on Jamal Murray holding his to 38.5% fg when guarding him and shot 40% from 3 43% from the field he was actually very good. This is why you always need to take the contract figure first reported with a grain of salt. It’s p much always gonna be what the max possible value is, bc the agents are the ones feeding Woj/Shams etc. the contracts. The agents obv want the biggest figure possible reported. So often times team options are left out, non gtds, partial gtds, incentives especially ones that are deemed unlikely, etc. What the incentives are, aren’t out. It’s also mostly front loaded. Here’s the breakdown: 23-24: Base $24.5M, LI’s: $1.2M, ULI’s: $3.7M, Cap Hit: $25.7M 24-25: Base: $22.5M, LI’s: $1.1M, ULI’s: $3.4M, Cap Hit: $23.6M 25-26: Base: $20.5M, LI’s: $1M, ULI’s: $3.1M, Cap Hit: $21.6M 26-27: Base: $22.5M, LI’s $1.1M, ULI’s: $3.4M, Cap Hit: $23.6M If you hit an unlikely incentive Y1, that then becomes a likely incentive for Y2. If you don’t hit a likely incentive Y1, it becomes unlikely for Y2. Likely incentives count as a cap hit. Let’s say you hit all of your likely incentives Y1, you get paid those, and they’re again deemed likely for Y2. Let’s say you also hit like $1M of your unlikely incentives in Y1. I know people hate on the rockets signings, but teams are required to spend at least 90% of their cap. With a roster full of young players who need development, it doesn’t make sense to spread that money around on bunch of proven vets when the team isn’t even trying to compete for a championship. The timberwolves actually had a great offseason so far by extending ANT and Naz. NAW was great in the postseason and came back on a very team friendly deal, plus they brought in a very solid guard in SHAKE Milton and a guy in Troy brown who is beginning to find his footing in the league.
