Wilt is the most overrated player, and biggest stat-padder, in NBA history. I have Bill Russell over him at #5, while Wilt is #9.

The current Celtics have Brown, Tatum and Kristops. Now everyone would argue Porzingis is not a “Superstar”, however he did come to the NBA with “superstar potential” and “hype”. He has yet to fully reach his maximum potential but he’s also been setback by injuries and despite still he’s still had great numbers when he plays and can stay healthy. He at least completes that ratio if you had Brown and Tatum. But since KD and Warriors the Celtics have been the most successful.

Even if he disagreed with Kyrie and said something about how he didn’t mean any disrespect by it but he stands by what he did as his form of art--that would be better than saying: “box me” Jesus.

i wouldn't necessarily consider the first three-peat bulls a superteam, since it's mostly a superstar duo that happens to be surrounded by really good role players (similar to the 2020 lakers), although you could bring the second three-peat bulls into consideration due to getting a former all-star/all-defensive/perennial rebound leader in rodman, but others may counter that by saying that rodman was more of a "fringe all-star"

i've always thought that the superteam era has been over since 2019 and the notion of the "dynamic duo era" is right

I recommend Ben Taylor's book "Thinking Basketball" for making this point much more clearly. There is a big difference between being an efficient high-volume scorer and being an efficient high-volume creator. With only a very few exceptions, the teams with the best offense are driven by efficient high-volume creators, not efficient high-volume scorers.

NBA need to be more like the NFL,I. The NFL market doesn't mean shit lol ,NFL is more culture driven , before the Lakers dynasty there was no caring about a market ,NBA need to move on from the super markets and focus on something else

Kevin Durant without doubt is one of the greatest players to lace em up. However, most of the criticism he’s taken are from people who believe in his capabilities, and become disappointed if he doesn’t meet those expectations. KD(although not as bad as he once was) made things worse when he plays the victim, and lashes out at anyone holding him to the standards of greatness.

A Back-to-Back Champion is also dominant. Maybe even more than a Dynasty who wins every other year. Kobe’s Back-to-Back titles seems more dominant than the Spurs 3 titles in 6 years

If you go back and actually watch what complete games are available of Wilt in his prime, its actually shocking how little impact he seems to be having on the moment to moment flow of the game. It sounds crazy and when you hear people talk about him who were around then or are sports experts they make him sound so dominant, but honestly in the games I've seen of him its always the most unnoticeable statistical dominance I've ever seen. I distinctly remember being confused in watching a few of his games where the announcers said his points and rebounds in like the 3rd quarter and being shocked that he had so many because I specifically was watching the game to see him dominate and never saw anything that made me think he was controlling the game at all. Thats not to say he wasn't good or valuable, but his minute by minute impact is not accurately represented by his stats or highlights.

61-62 Warriors all stars: Wilt, Pail Arizin, Tom Gola. (Al Attles and Guy Rodgers made Hall of Fame.) 61-62 Celtics all stars: Russell, Cousy, Heinsohn, Sam Jones. (Tom Sanders, K.C. Jones, and Frank Ramsey made Hall of Fame. Look I'm not disrespecting the OG big guard Tom Gola but to equate him to a guy like Bob Cousy is crazy. Paul Arizin outdoes Sam Jones, but the Celtics had a great forward defender in Tom Sanders who was never an all star. Just look at the positional matchups: PG: Guy Rodgers vs. Bob Cousy SG: Tom Gola vs. Sam Jones SF: Paul Arizin vs. Tom Sanders PF: Tom Meschery vs. Tom Heinsohn C: Wilt vs. Russell The Celtics win every position except SF and arguably C. None of Wilt's Warriors teams were anywhere near the Celtics in terms of overall talent. His Sixers teams were on level with Wilt, Billy Cunningham, Chet Walker, and Hal Greer, but the Celtics had one of the greatest coaches ever, legendary chemistry, and "ring chaser" veterans joining them by that time. Certainly Kobe's post-Shaq pre-Pau Lakers were worse than Wilt's Warriors. But then, thise teams also did worse in the standings.

The narrative of MJ's 'failures' in the '80's is off. The Celtics and Lakers from '83 to ' 89 weren't just good teams - they were considered the GREATEST teams of all time. NOBODY was beating them. The Pistons weren't too far behind. The Pistons in your Division, the Celtics in your Conference, you ain't going nowhere.

I loved this and I have to say you were more generous than I was with the championships because I realistically just gave them one and there’s also a key aspect that even Kobe said would’ve happened if the Lakers held on to Shaq and that was Kobe would’ve walked and left for Chicago. Plus what if Phil Jackson stayed retired and they didn’t have the triangle offense to thrive off of.

When the cavs had lebron, he dominated, lots of times the other players stood and watched, it didnt matter if you were a all star type when joining the cavs, because you never got as many touches, the other stars always took a hit in the stat department, the less lebron scored the more the ball was shared, and the better the team was, kyrie was the best star that had great numbers too, guys like kyle korver, a great outside shooter didnt get many looks with lebron and his massive ego around, wally cszerbiak , a great shooter too , barely got a chance, this is why the really good players avoided cleveland

Honestly, I never gave the smallest of a fuck about the value of the league or the viewership, I'm not directly involved in it, so I don't care. I know it sounds a bit ignorant, but all I care, as a fan, is watching great basketball from time to time and acceptable basketball most of the time. I think that if they make a few tweaks (officiating, trade rules i.e. not allowing a team to use 15 million picks in a trade) it should be fine. I would also like to see the regular season dropping to 60 games and having more games in European countries. A Nuggets game in Belgrade or a Bucks game in Athens would be a sight to see. I like Adam Silver as a commisioner more than David Stern as he feels like a governor/manager rather than a dictator and I hope he'll improve the overall product.
