Just started clinicals in school, and I will be using this to help stay organized and as a remind of everything that needs to be done. Always like watching your videos!

Just wanted to say I think your videos are excellent. I've been an ICU nurse for 7 yrs now, and it would have been great to have something like this as a resource when I first started. Great luck in your nursing career & keep it up! You're awesome :)

Awesome advice! For my OB clinical, I followed a nurse who used a sheet of paper to organize the meds she had to give at each time to each patient. She had just been transferred to the floor, and I just thought it was so novel and such a great idea. Before, I have never seen any nurses do that. She got so much accomplished, and had time to sit back, because she had already documented. She was just so efficient. I was in awe.

Hi Nacole. How do you manage your time management and prioritization working in medical surgical floor?
@NurseNacole3 жыл бұрын
I had a sheet that kept me on track in terms of tasks, medications and my day. With so many patients, I couldn't depend on my memory alone.

Hi Nacole! I was wondering if you could walk us thru the pink sheet that u use for the patients? Like how u may abbreviate notations or color code anything. Thank you

I have applied at the hospital, rehab hospital, home health agencies a lot of them want you to have a least 1-2 years of hospital exp. but if I can't get hired at the hospital how can I get the exp. I was an LPN for the past 8 years I've worked in many areas as an LPN but they are not looking at that exp. I've worked long term care, intermediate care, home health, clinic, but it has been 6 years since I was in the hospital and that was on a med/surg floor.

Nacole do you have any advice for new grads in California who haven't been able to find a job close to a year. I graduated in December and didn't get my license until practically May because our Board had some delays in processing our applications. I just got offered a job and I feel like I forgot everything. Any advice for those in this situation?

FYI, the reason i haven't worked as an RN is because jobs are very hard to find here in southern california.

Did you keep some of your course textbooks or your NCLEX-RN books? When I feel "rusty", I open a book and refresh myself with various disease processes. We are all human, we can't retain it all : )

Caesar M I had a friend who passed the boards and didn't work for a full year afterwards because he wanted to travel the world first. There isn't anything wrong with taking time and waiting, even if it wasn't by choice : )
