Graduate School Application COMPLETE Overview: Stanford and Princeton Examples | Grad App Advice

Graduate school applications will be open soon! So today I thought I would walk you through the ENTIRE graduate school application instructions for both Stanford and Princeton websites, just so you can have a concrete example of what two different schools might ask for. I even give some advice and experiences along the way as we discuss each component of the app. As of the making of this video, most schools have not opened their application portal. However, this video will be nice preparation for collecting the info you need to start filling things out.

Thanks for the video! Very helpful! A couple of questions: is it important to contact professors before applying, and if they don't respond, do I still list their names in the application because they are in the area I am most interested in? Also, wonder how many schools should I apply. Want to apply more but concerned if it has too much work for my recommenders because they have to fill out for each school separately. Any suggestions will be appreciated, thanks!

happy birthday ! and i wonder if my undergrad GPA 3 (UK 2:2) will allow me to go in? I have master GPA of 3.7 and I am trying to get GRE more than 320+

Thanks! Hmm I'm not super familiar with UK. However, a master GPA of 3.7 is very good. You should try and apply to see! There are many other components to the app as well.

You probably need to check on a school by school basis. Perhaps even different departments vary. I remember Stanford EE allowing it, but some schools do not.
