Graef CM702 and Chemex (lo-fi edition)

In this lo-fi coffee episode, I share my grinder settings of the Graef 700series for the smaller Chemex model, for a total brew time of slightly over 4 minutes.

Hey I have the Graef grinder as well, but for some reason it jams when I go finer than 18 or so. I haven't moved any of the washers. Also any tips for removing the bottom burr? I can't seem to get it off. What do you use to stop the burr from turning when removing the top nut?

Hi, imho the grinder jams quickest when the thickest washer + one less thick washer are both installed (or even 3 washers = beyond factory specs) For espresso grind I have two 0,2mm washers installed which makes mine jam around #5. To check which washers are under your lower burr, keep in mind that for some reason, graef reversed the screw wire on the nut. You'll have to twist it oppositely to how you normaly would. The first time I took the nut off, I clamped the burr into place with pliers, and a towel in between to protect the teeth.
