Graffiti Highway walk

Today, I take a hike to check out the current condition of the notorious 'Graffiti Highway' in the abandoned ghost town of Centralia, Pa. This 1 mile stretch of Highway was closed in 1993 due to the mine fire burning underground, which caused the road to buckle, crack, and emit plumes of toxic smoke. In 2020, a company covered the area with dirt mounds due to public safety concerns. It still has the same eery feel but most of the largest cracks and fissure have been fully filled in and covered by the dirt. It's sad to see it in the condition it's in today, but it was probably for the better. Hope you enjoy the video! Like and Subscribe 🙂

The reasons why the piles of dirt are more separated at the bottom of old 61 are for service lines for water go through the area and for emergency responder access because of the history of accidents and fires still wanted a little access to that area
