Wow, it's looking really healthy, Dom! I hope those fruits hold on for you 🤞

Thanks, Peter ... It would be amazing to taste a home-grown White Sapote. The fruits are looking good so far and I think they'll hold but yes, keeping fingers crossed. I'd like them to get a bit larger too.

Those fruits are magnificent Dom, mine only got to walnut size last year but were edible, so far this year they have only got to the size of a small hazelnut 😂. I think I need to repot mine as i think its short of nutrients to grow the fruits. They are one of those tropicals that actually seem to do better outside once the frosts have gone. Ironically I find them to be faster growing than most other tropicals 😁

Thanks, Brett ... I'm happy with the size of the fruit although I would love to see them grow about 50% larger (or maybe double in size) before they ripen. Yes, I think they grow quite well in the UK. Both my plants have easily grown 1.5 ft since I bought them last year. ... There are faster growing tropicals / subtropicals but these are more than acceptable.

Great stuff Dominic. Love the size of the fruits and hoping they hold on and ripen for you. I have some small white sapote seedling that I guess will take years to reach fruiting maturity...AND THEY APPEAR TO BE SUCH SLOW GROWERS.

Cheers, Mike ... Have you ever eaten a White Sapote? I haven't yet but I'm really keen to try one. Other than my two grafted White Sapote, I have a number of seedlings, like yourself. I started mine from seed and yes, they're not the fastest growers. I think your plants will accelerate with the growth soon as it warms up a bit. I'm glad my plants are outdoor now. They seem to do better.

Thanks Emil ... I bought this on April 26th 2023 during my trip to Italy. Almost exactly one year ago.
