I was raised Catholic, started going to non-denominational Christian Churches in my mid 20s but seeing The Chosen has made me understand how the Jewish faith has impacted the way I believe and pray. I don’t feel like I am only one “flavor”, I am more like an eclectic dish, and I love it!

My "flavor" is Western Cherokee Nation in Eastern Oklahoma, where my ancestors were marched along multiple "trails of tears" ( during which time thousands died). My great great grandfather made that walk from Georgia to Indian territory when he was 7 years old: and his son, my great grandfather, became a Baptist missionary to his own people. We are Christians of a different sort but Jesus brings us all together, and my daughter is an ordained Presbyterian Chaplain in the US Army, bringing more souls to the throne of grace.

I am overflowing with emotion reading your testimony. I have had a heart for the original people of this country since I was very young. It is unusual to hear testimonies like yours, but I do know God is continuing to work with all the different traditions, especially since so many have been indoctrinated to believe there is a white man's religion and their own tribal religion, and "white religion" is not for them. Oh, how the devil loves to divide people and use lies like that to keep people away from Jesus! I am so happy to hear your daughter is a chaplain. Military chaplains have an especially difficult job. Not only because of the nature of the mission, but because of changes in government policies. I am preparing for the chaplaincy myself. I hope to work in hospice. I thank God for all of you!! I wish we could meet in person while we're here on earth. Many blessings to you! Your sister in Christ, Anna from Indiana

Thank you both for sharing this with these 3 Pastor / Rabbi/ Priests. We get to hear their prospectives. I was a Daughter of a Conservative Presbyterian Pastor. He is Home with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ since 1974. I have been in different churches since marriage but, I’m basically a Reformed Presbyterian or Baptist. We don’t have a home church at the moment. We moved from SC to Colorado. Since Covid our health has been part of the reason and being in a new Community and state. Pray we can find the right church God Bless you, both. In Christ, Bitsy.

Ah this was so beautiful and it made me cry with longing for His Return when He is known as the King of all. My flavor is now Roman Catholic; I was raised Methodist (protestant). My heart has been for the unity of the church all this time. I found my Lord in Protestantism. Catholicsm is the fuller expression of my faith and grounds me. Thank you so much for what you do.

I am Born Again Christian, but I have friends of different faiths. Even atheists and agnostics. Just Jesus saying that we love one another. Period. That summarizes everything. We may disagree with a lot of things, but God draws us all together to Him. Divisiveness is 100% human. It is our nature. But unity in God, in Jesus, in the Holy Spirit is perfect and Godly. May we all find that unity in the future. I, personally, am tired of human divisiveness.

I'm not sure why you would think The Chosen causes divisiveness. I'm Catholic and I don't agree with a lot in the show because it has very Protestant undertones (spiritually speaking) but it doesn't mean I don't like the show or think others beliefs are wrong. This is just what I believe and was taught as a cradle Catholic. The whole business of our Blessed Mother experiencing pain in child birth didnt sit well with me of course, but the show is filmed with several different views of Christianity and I think that's what makes it so special. But divisive? No.

Hey guys I am highly flavored Pentacostal non denominational fire baptized Believer!😂 I absolutely love the show and all the Jewishness of Jesus. I have a very eclectic spiritual upbringing so I have a different Christian worldview than many of my peers. Visiting Israel helped me feel connected to our Grafted roots into the Tree of Life that is Yeshua. Keep helping us bridge these gaps...it's God's work!

@@kimberlyrose0671 ... I agree, and I'm glad you were able to experience that. Dallas has to try and navigate through other's "Religions", and that cannot be easy. I feel that, as long as it is bringing people to Scripture, so they can see what resonates with them, with The Holy Spirit guiding them. It's a good thing 💜

I have always believed, that the Blessed Mother, was THE ONLY WOMAN who never experienced the pain of childbirth. I’m Catholic. I believe everything that I was taught as a child. Even this podcast is different YET SO in tune with what I STILL believe today. God/Jesus is LOVE, Compassion, Salvation, Forgiveness. , I love the Chosen. It’s actually brought me closer to my faith and my family.

My "flavor" was Southern Baptist from the time I was in my mom's womb and it was good for a long while but I didn't fully understand what being a Follower of Yeshua meant until December 3, 2017 and I was "born again by The Spirit From Above" and my life has been changed. Now I'm going to a non-denominational church that is Baptist-like but with Elders... Bible believing and preaching from The Scriptures. The Chosen has made the flat words in the Bible just POP UP and give vivid color and texture to the familiar words and Yeshua is more realistic and touchable than anything I could have imagined myself. I am so grateful for your ministry and thank God for Dallas and everyone else associated with the Chosen... and the Catholic priest, the Rabbi and the Evangelical scholar are the icing on the proverbial cake!

Jesus Prays for All Believers 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one- 23 I in them and you in me-so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:20-23

One important step for unity would be when we all stop doing "mission work" of trying to take Christians from one denomination to our own denomination, even giving misinformation to do so.

2 Timothy 4 English Standard Version Preach the Word 4 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: 2 preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. 3 For the time is coming when people will not endure sound[a] teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, 4 and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.

There is this great fear that laying down our petty doctrinal differences is somehow the same as compromising our values. This is the #1 stumbling block. The "if you don't believe exactly as I believe...you are wrong" mentality is why there are so many factions ( aka denominations ). In some way or another each wants to believe you are "christian" unless you believe their way. Why can't anyone see that this is the work of the devil? Feeding self righteous pride in the guise of doctrinal purity. People want to hold onto their notions that they are somehow more "righteous" than the other guy. We need to ask ourselves a single question... is God happy with the state of HIS Church? I dare so no he is not and has not been for millenia. The cracks started early and have not stopped the fracturing. I do not believe in organized religion for this reason. I deplore religion. Yeshua did not form a new religion folks. If that were His intent he would have just reformed Judaism complete with the Levitical priesthood. The Way was not a religion... it was way of life. Why is that important? Because with religion comes a concentration of power that leads to corruption and with that corruption is a desire to retain that power at all costs. You know it is true. I was a vegan for a while. Mostly because of the horrendous way we treated the animals. My ex wife decided to do it first and I joined her so that we could support each other. She was big into online forums about veganism, mostly for tips about recipes. She came to me one day and told me that some poor lady was being ostracized because she ate honey. Yes... you heard that right. She was told she wasn't a vegan if she ate honey. Does this ring a bell for anyone? This is what the beginnings of a religion look like. Lists of rules that exclude you if you don't subscribe to them. And often those rules have nothing to do with the core beliefs. They are an excuse used to make certain people feel that they are better than you are. Again... you know it is true. Unity in Christ starts with laying down those doctrinal differences at the foot of the Cross and asking the Lord specifically where WE went wrong. People will say well read the Bible. That only works if everyone is reading the same way! Perhaps if we ask God about it He will point to a scriptural passage that clarifies. But He may also ask us to give up our pride and bend our necks. If we all get the same message we know we are on the right track. Is it a loud voice accusing others of standing in the way or the still small voice asking that we just follow HIM? Please brothers and sisters... this is critical. We are fallible humans... we do not always discern things correctly. Only God does that. I repeat only God is infallible. Lay it all down... die to your human pride in our "traditions" and see where the Almighty...All Knowing God leads us. It won't work if we cling to our preconceived notions. Do not say "well if it isn't in the bible I don't believe it"... that is putting scripture above the prompting of the Holy Spirit. That is what the Teachers of the Law did. Please think about this and PRAY... pray as if your life depended on it. It is that important.
