Wawa is the kind of place you run in & out. No one would choose it over Buc-ees. It’s on every corner by my house like a McDonald’s. In and out in minutes. The sandwiches are fresh.

Never had Wawa but Sheets isn't bad for gas station food. In Texas just ask a local for a Ma and Paw gas station. Pilot truck stops have the best and most consistent coffee across the USA.

One thing to keep in mind is that Buckee's is basically Texas and WaWa is basically Pennsylvania which means you're comparing two businesses that primarily operate over 1,600miles / 2,500 km apart. If you're at a Buckee's you're going to have to drive like 23 hours literally non-stop to get to a WaWa in Pennsylvania.

I’ve been lucky enough to be all over and try all these places. My thoughts on the two: Buc-ees: As far as gas stations go, it’s like a combination of Walmart and tourist trap. I feel like the food is a bit overrated relative to the hype it receives, but that doesn’t mean it’s not good. In fact, as far as the food quality goes, its “floor” is higher than many other gas stations. But Buc-ees has so much stuff, most of it junk, that it can be an event just to go there. And by junk, I don’t just mean food. It’s packed with other merchandise and sometimes it can just feel a bit overwhelming. All that said, the gas prices tend to be competitive, often being significantly cheaper. So stopping there makes sense for tourist and local alike. WaWa: It’s important to note that WaWa is just a regular set of gas stations. It started off as mostly an East Coast thing, out of Philadelphia (I think). Geography is important here. The areas WaWa operates in are often densely packed, such as the tri-state area. It typically positions itself as more practical than other gas stations, and I think that’s fair. It’s known for its coffee and sandwiches above all else, but it has other good food offerings. Outside of the coffee, I’d say its food quality is subject to location more than many other chains. I’ve had food from WaWa that is far superior to anything I’ve ever had from Buc-ees. However, I’ve also had some of the worst gas station food I’ve ever had from Wawas. It’s truly hit or miss that way. Personally, I actually prefer that. It helps make the WaWa experience more grounded; your local residents will always be able to tell you which ones to avoid if you want more than gas & coffee. It’s also much smaller; it doesn’t feel like an overwhelming event just to go get gas & a quick bite to eat. Having said all of that, I can say based on my own experience that WaWa food quality has really taken a hit over the years. It’s interesting to see it’s just now aggressively expanding into states like Ohio, at a time I’d argue its food quality is at an all-time low across the board. For me personally, I prefer Wawa, but that’s probably because I don’t need to feel like I’m at Disneyworld every time I stop for gas. I also grew up making frequent family trips to Philly and South Jersey, and WaWa was far better than anything I had experienced in my own state. For what it’s worth, I think Pilot beats both Buc-ees and WaWa with regard to food quality consistency across its chain of stores. I’m not saying it’s my favorite place, but if you make it to middle America on your trip I definitely think it’s worth a visit.

Bucees is in the south and Wawa is east coast. Most of US do not have these stores/gas stations. Gas stations are not the place to go for fine dining. It's gas and go. Greasy old fried chicken, or roller dogs, sometimes microwave frozen pizza or burritos. Just something to keep you moving. Gotta make 600 miles today.

Buc-ee’s is a tourist trap. It will always be better because they cater to tourists. Wawa is an everyday gas station with good food. Not great. A hoagie is lunchmeat cheese lettuce tomato onion oil vinegar on a long roll. Created by Italian immigrants working at hoag island in Philadelphia. Philadelphia, birthplace of our nation. Buckee's is not everywhere. WaWa is actually good. People go there for the hoagies (sandwiches). You can get whatever you want on them. The sandwiches and smoothies are great. They actually ordered the worst things. Out of all the choices, they get the least favorite items. The food is fresh. You order and they make it. It's very popular because it has food you could get late at night. The coffee is decent, for those harsh cold winters. Everything bagel is just a plain bagel with seasoning on it. If you want something on it, you have to be specific. I prefer a toasted bagel with butter and jelly. Sometimes I'll add cream cheese to it. It's not a restaurant. The food is good for the price.

An Everything Bagel doesn't have stuff on it like you're thinking. It's the seasoning. It's got all the different seasonings on it, like salt, pepper, garlic, onion, etc. I'm not sure what all the seasoning are. Also, everything is made and packaged elsewhere then just heated up when you order it. That's why the meatballs look the way they do.

here in Yuma Arizona we have Love's & Maverik & Pilot & Circle K & Chevron....we can order a fresh custom whole pizza at all of them except Chevron....Love's has an actual pizza place as part of it....Pilot even has Cinnabon to get fresh cinnamon rolls....Maverik has fresh tacos & burritos & pizza....my friend runs the deli that makes everything fresh like biscuits & gravy from scratch which is part of a locally owned gas station/mini mart

Memphis , TN has the best gas station food . ( Pilot , Citgo ) There are some that serve hot plates . Like pot roast , meatloaf , beeftips and noodles and fried catfish . Along with some good sides like tater wedges , mac n cheese and cornbread . When I left Memphis , the food was really reasonable to .

Buc-cees, Wawa, Caseys, and Wally's all kind of do the same thing. Even here locally (cincinnati) United Dairy Farmers is a chain gas station that always had an ice cream parlor attached but now they sell hot food too.

I think they were exaggerating on being lost. It's not that big. When they are outside eating, you can see the whole building behind them. It's a Box and the cahier is right near the entrance/exit. Same with the ordering. You have the option to add more or just select Done or Finished. They were intentionally making it look like more then it was. As for your "Buck Ees cup. I bet you would use a Bass Pro Mug if you had one. Bass Pro is not a gas station, but I think you knew that already.

Our gas stations Royal Farms is known for their Fried chicken. It was named One of th he best places for fried chicken. A lot of gas stations are like fast food restaurants they are owed by franchise owners. So some will be better than others.

Just some information from a Philly area native, who grew up with wawa. First of all, Wawa was established before buc ee's in 1964. Buc ee's didn't open until 1982. Also, wawa is only in the area of New Jersey, Delaware and it's origin of eastern PA, while buc ees is only in the southern states. Wawa is Not In Competition with buc ees, they were originally just a food convenience store, they didn't add the gas until the 1990's. Yes, it's not for everyone, we all have different preferences. I love Wawa, however, I have never been to a Buc ee's, so. Whenever you come to Philadelphia you have to try our Soft Pretzels and tastykakes.

I always think it’s kind of sketchy when a restaurant has a huge, overwhelming menu because how can they keep all of the ingredients for all of those dishes fresh when maybe just a handful of people order that particular item on any given day? That’s what I don’t like about the Cheesecake Factory chain because the menu is just too big and it takes you forever to figure out what you want. Then I think, I wonder to how fresh all the ingredients are?

They are building 4 of these in the town where I live in FL...We also have all the other 'convenient store' chains. If there's not an over the top gas station on the corner, then there's a car wash. It's getting old..and the fad will end and we will have empty buildings for lease on every corner to look at...

As a general rule, one usually only eats gas station food if one is trying to get violently ill. Bucee's is the notable exception; their food is fresh and very well prepared. I've also had good experiences at Wawa. It was decent food that was fresh. But don't expect a Bucee's experience! Otherwise, just don't eat there. Stay away from gas station sushi. Just...run away.

You can't compare WaWa and Buc-E's. But you're only gonna see Buc-E's in the South/Southwest region. WaWa is more of a NJ, Pennsylvania, Mid Atlantic region kind of place. To be honest, I'm from NYC, and I've traveled to Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, but I've never seen a WaWa up in this region. I might be wrong. It might be a NJ and below thing.

If you see a Wawa in America you should definitely stop especially if you have never experienced one comparing Wawa to Buc-ee's don't really fit you should more so compare a Wawa to a regular gas station even a 7-Eleven butt Buc-ee's and Wawa are very different Buc-ee's is more like comparing it to Walmart or even a Sam's Club who also sells gas but Buc-ee's and Wawa are two different also might I add Wawas has delicious burgers if you ever do go and get a burger do not get the double it's too much food too much meat they also so many other foods like quesadillas milkshakes ice coladas all kinds of really good sweet frozen drinks and pizza try getting there supreme pizza with the garlic sauce.

Wawa is a normal size gas station that has good food buc-ees is not somewhere you would stop at on a weekly gas trip. You really can't compare them. It's like comparing McDonald's to Texas Roadhouse I feel like they went to the wrong wawa It is actually very easy to order and pay I feel like they made it much more difficult than it really is. They do have amazing smoothies and breakfast subs. They just ordered the wrong stuff.

All gas stations are created equal. There are some gas stations that have sandwich shops, fresh juice, bar, and a Mexican grill. A gas station near my job had all of this. It was a hotspot for lunch.

I used to have 70 miles away from my job. I hated the commute. On Fridays, I go to a KNITTING CLUB 24 miles away and depending on traffic, it may take an hour and a half to two hours to get there. But on the way back it’s less than an hour. Usually a little over 30 minutes.

I don't get the Wawa hype. It's just an average gas station with hot food. While people do overhype Bucees as the best brisket or pulled pork (it's not its STILL a gas station) the food is still satisfying for gas station food. The people who like Wawas probably eat Walmart quality food everyday. Just go to a normal local recommended sit down restaurant.

Buc-cees is definitely a day trip destination but I use WaWa almost daily. The food is like most places here. You go to different places depending on the food you're craving.

There was a small gas station near where I used to work and they had a fresh sandwich station where they made sandwiches to your order. They had a juice bar and they had a Mexican Grill. It was a good place to go for lunch and the prices were very decent.

There’s a chain of expensive grocery stores in Southern California called Bristol Farms. They have these giant chocolate chip cookies that stay on a warming tray so no matter what time of day you buy the cookies, they are always warm. One cookie is big enough for two people.

Wawa like any other place has good food items and shitty ones. As said from others it is highly dependent on which one you go to for quality. Always check google reviews before going to a wawa you've never been to before. It's not a guarantee since many reviewers are there to complain but if it's consistant in criticism it's probably true. They also have timed food so you can only get breakfast in the morning and some sandwiches/burgers and pizza only after 4pm. I think they should have done a bit of research/asking before they went. Though I don't think you can go wrong with any hot or cold sandwich. Also it's a pretty small store especially compared to buccee's so they are exxagerating. There is a clear check out area. Where else would you pay for your food? The touchsceen menus are simple. I've seen young kids use them. They are just dumb. I think this was one of jolly's lazier shit out videos tbh.

Unless you’re going to Philadelphia, you’re not gonna see a Wawa on a road trip. When you come to America and if you go to Texas, stop by sprinkles cupcakes. They have a cupcake ATM. Also, visit national parks and museums. See the natural beauty of America. When foreigners with reaction channel to visit America, they tend to go to the most touristy spots. Not that you should never go to them, but visit some places that the other reaction channels are not visiting.
