Yes a lot of us have pickup trucks. They are handy when buying furniture or moving. We live around farmland and we don't have trash pickup and have to take it to the dump. I don't want trash in my car so we have a truck. You get used to having one. Everyone I know has at least 1 truck in their family.

Sun Valley is the oldest destination ski resort. It is very chill, low key casual and expensive. But skiing and other winter activities are great all over the West,

You should see some of the Ice Fishing "cabins". They're as well equipped as large RVs. Heat, electricity, running water, stoves, refrigerators, big screen TVs, and more. You fish from inside by simply lifting up removable panels in the floor.

Once you are skiing you stay hot. Too hot many times in all but the coldest temperatures. The guy on the gondola is probably the maintenance crew. Just doing a check. I would imagine the bogies take a lot of punishment on a heavy gondola. You would be surprised how much fun going up & down the mountain is.

I have not been to Slovakia at all, but have been to the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Hungary during winter. Also to lots of western Europe during winter. hat includes skiing in Austria, France, and Switzerland.

I’ve been skiing at Breckenridge, Keystone, Winter Park, Steamboat Springs and Beaver Creek in Colorado and Whitefish (Big Mountain) Montana. Also been to Park City Utah, Aspen/Snowmass and Vail Colorado in summer. Whistler in British Columbia Canada is also awesome.

Mr. Graham, have you had a look at the live storm media videos of the recent snow across the northeast of the USA. Erie Pennsylvania, Buffalo New York. They currently have about two meters of snow on the ground, and it is still snowing. Cars and Lorries stranded on the highways and grocery stores running out of stock because deliveries have not been possible.

Yea, the Bears and Moutain lions just sit by the Mountain slides and wait for lunch to come down the track...it's like a buffet that comes to you and is a steady supply! They're great.

Though it's spelled that way, Gros Ventre Mtn. Range in WY is pronounced "grow vahnt", and is French for 'big belly'. I don't know where he got his information re. people not usually thinking of Michigan as a place to ski, because it's "crawling" with ski hills/mtns. At 15:41 in the Dollywood section is someone in a snow sculpting competition.

I'm in Mas a two ships, about 1 hour ride to Mt. snow VT.. A ski area out side west of me. and I don't ski . Sister says you can ice skate . You can ski. Left defense hockey . Ski the score tree to tree.

I'd recommend going to the other ones that are more kid-friendly. Utah resident and I can tell you right now that your best bet is to go during the late fall so that it isn't too cold and not too warm either. Also the Sundance Film Festival is the biggest winter party ever. Booze and food with films from the known, aspiring and lesser fame filmmakers do what they can to show their films there. If you're lucky, you may end up running into a ski or snowboarder instructor who's visiting other slopes just for the snow.

Garron would be better at skiing because his hockey ice skating skills compliment skiing. He already knows how to turn and stop because it's essentially the same as turning without crossing your skates. I race with a guy who was a Divvision I college player and he is one of the fastest skiers on the mountain.

The biggest difference is just getting used to navigating around with large skis. But ya the basics of both are essentially identical.

I'm surprised that they didn't include some of the many ski resorts here in North Carolina. Beech Mountain, Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, Cataloochee, and Maggie Valley are all excellent resorts. Here in North Carolina we have the best of both worlds, we have mountains, including the highest point east of the Mississippi River at Grandfather Mountain, and we have some of the best beaches in America along the eastern coast of N.C., including the Outer Banks, a k.a. The Graveyard of the Atlantic, where hundreds of shipwrecks are just offshore.. 🤙✌️

None of the California ski resorts mentioned here. People just refuse to associate world class skiing with California, I guess because of the world class beaches. Its almost as if, in some people's minds, they can't exist together. Mountain and snow and sand and sea don't mix. Squaw Valley California was the sight of the 1960 Winter Olympics. Yeah, that level of skiing. Don't sleep on California!

Hellooo! US here! This was the 'Top Ten' but there are mountains 🏔across America and plenty of reasonably priced places for skiing⛷. Like most things only the priciest items are showcased. Do your own research if you want a 'vacay'. America has thousands of vacation spots and prices to fit everyone's budgets. There are also many free places that still are amazing to see. Mix it up! Pick a few pricey places and the rest economical and you can have a great vacation!
