Graham Nash's shortlived interview/performance show the Ring aka The Inside Track kicked off in December 1989 with Grace Slick & David Crosby, which you'll find elsewhere on the BetaGems channel (probably not for U.S. viewers however, one of the song copyrights got it blocked in the U.S.). The show returned under a different name the following year with interviews between Nash and Bob Geldof, Michelle Shocked, and others - those episodes coming to BetaGems shortly. This is episode number three, from January 1991, featuring Nash with Gregg Allman. The BetaGems channel also has "Allman Brothers 9-8-91 Sub Base Groton CT UNRELEASED," "Allman Brothers 2-29-96 late night TV performance," "Allman Brothers 11-15-94 late night TV performance," "Gregg Allman 1-15-88 late night TV performance," "Dickey Betts & Brian Setzer 11-20-84 late night TV performance," and "Graham Nash & Grace Slick December 1989 with David Crosby TV intvw/performance." In addition, you can find "Graham Nash August 1987 late night TV performance" and "The Hollies 1965 two songs video jukebox" on this channel.
BetaGems are culled from an archive of over 1000 beta video tapes recorded from 1983 into the 1990s. Most feature live music performances broadcast on television in San Diego CA, though there are also rarely seen commercials, comedy clips, and other material that doesn't seem to be anywhere else on KZbin or online. Most of the tapes were recorded on a Sony SL-HFT7 Super Beta Theater Hi-Fi Stereo - the same model was refurbished and is being used for these digital transfers and uploads.
In rare occasions where a BetaGems clip does appear elsewhere, we're only uploading if our own beta master is better quality or contains material not seen previously. Much footage comes from public television and public access broadcasts that the taper, who worked for a local cable TV production company in the 1980s, monitored nightly for several years. Some of the programming is strictly regional, mostly from the San Diego area.

Not ashamed to say I cried...a lot...the day Gregg left us. About burned the grooves off of "Live at the Filmore", too.

Gregg Allman had such a beautiful voice. I wish he could sing me to sleep every night. I'm so glad you met that brotha on the beach and he introduced you to r&b music and the blues this coming from a sista 😉. Rest In Peace Gregory and give Duane a hug for me ❤️

The keyboards really hurt the music - they are not acoustic, as Graham said about Midnight Rider. Gregg needed no accompaniment!

I"m grateful for the time that Gregg was with us, on planet earth. His talent was incredible, but also just what good soul based on all I see and hear. He had challenges with addiction, absentee parent, not a perfect man. But he overcame so much to be the person he became, and we are blessed.

Thank God! 🙏 I had the opportunity of seeing the Allman Brothers in New Orleans Louisiana at the saenger theater 🎭 and I believe it was 1979 or 1980 I clearly remember seeing them on stage! They opened with George thorogood and he was a very narcissistic person! And would not let me and my friend backstage! Well! It's June 27th 2024 and I'm still listening to the music of the Allman Brothers! We lost dickey Betts this year! Rest in peace guys 🙏 you're up there with the big wigs now!❤❤❤

I Take it is His One Year Sober Anniversary. I Sobered Up In 1993 Listening to " A Decade Of Hits " over and over till the tape broke. I replaced it right away and kept listening. It helped so much. ALSO. " An Evening With The Allman Brothers " " End Of The Line" and " Nobody Left To Run With " and many more. Sober 30 Years and Thank You So Much. Music You Can Feel.

Where's this acoustic "Midnight Rider" been, all of my life? More soulful, than any electric version I've heard!
